At what point do you decide if you can or should add a second item?
Barb-I have been using Coffee- mate Low Carb in hazelnut. It's pretty good. I sure hope it's acceptable on South Beach? It has helped me to give up my favorite breakfast of Choc milk. Everyone have a safe weekend!
Hi, I wanted to post this too, didn't want you guys to think you weren't read...just hang in, the weight will go...I haven't had the breakfast bars but most who have, love them! Breakfast tends to be a hard meal for me.....guess that why a boiled egg with a v8 is the thing I'm most likely to grab. On the add in question, make sure you are comfortable and still losing with what you have added in them try something else you really want or that would merit an occasion to have it. It's just a personal trial and error thing, back up on it if it gives you cravings. Good luck!

About the coffee creamer questions on Thursdays thread, he gives avoid on most of them except light or ff refrigerated, 2T being serving size.....powdered original, 1 tsp of it is G. This info is on page 105 of the new hand guide, updated and revised, help me here...it appears they are all sf, ff or 1/2 g fat to be considered good, others are limited. If it's working for you, great!

5cats, on the thread where you and I were discussing legals and the chocolate drink, he dances around this on page 43 of the same book......giving avoid to all he has listed, Swiss Miss FF isn't listed; however, it is powdered milk w art. sweetner mixed w water. I personally would count it as a milk serving or limit to once a day like/or in place of the ss/ff pudding, same thing I'm thinking. Let me know what conclusions you all come up with.

Love you guys,

Marva

Morning, Marva! Just about 6 o'clock here on the Atlantic coast of Canada. I've been awake since 5 for some unknown reason. Day 4 for me and I gave in and weighed. The weight gain I was afraid I'd get going from Atkins to South Beach hasn't happened, so I'll hang in for some weight loss this weekend, I'm thinking. I need some fiber, though, since I can't go at this time and am not sure why. I do have IBS and allergy issues, so we'll see. Not that I have exposed myself to any of my KNOWN allergens! (Sigh) Anyway, I'm feeling pretty good. Hungry this morning, so I'll go off and make breakfast for myself and dh now. Have a great day all!

Hi everyone.....

Have fun this weekend Marva....Enjoy yourself.

Barb---I know, i fully expected the weight gain too and it never came, just the loss...Keep up the good work.

I weighed this morning and up to 140.5. I ate 2 bowls of restaurant cream of crab/shrimp soup. It was just easy and I know I shouldnt have but....plus I havent been to the gym all week and TOM is today or tomorrow.
We also went grocery shopping last night and gots lots of food so I shouldnt have any setbacks in the next 2 weeks.
My mother is having BBQ- at her house on Monday. I want to make a SB SF banana cream pie. Any ideas? I picked up some bananas and the SF banana pudding mix to use with skim milk. I also got some walnuts maybe for the crust. I will hunt around for a recipe.

I am going to DD's field trip this morning to the post office. It seems to be a beautiful warm day already and we are walking about a mile roundtrip.

Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy the beach!!!

Off to read yesterdays posts.

I'm here but barely awake. Came to work early so I can leave a bit early although I'm not going anywhere tonight, I just want out of here. I get my DH to myself this weekend, my stepson is with his mom, and I plan on snuggling with him as much as possible.

I haven't weighed yet, it's TOM and I'll probably wait until Sun to weigh. I can't wait to get back under 200. I also am going to dedicate myself to starting my exercise plan this weekend also, I'll get everything out and dust it off.

Pom - there's a recipe in the recipe room thats called Yummy Banana Pudding that is really good, you might want to sub the heavy cream. Also, I make quite a few banana puddings for my mom and I have found the banana pudding mix to be a bit strong. I prefer to use the vanilla because you get enough banana flavor from the fruit. Of course that's only my opinion.

Stopped at Meijer this AM and bought some of the SB breakfast bars, they're on sale 2 for $5 this week. Also bought another box of the Optimum Slim cereal, my favorite so far, and a box of the Uncle Sam with berries. I love being able to eat cereal sometimes.

Hope everybody has a great day and and even greater weekend.

Pam

Good morning gals!

I only have a sec to post. I'm home today but headed out to the saloon for my "up do". I have the formal tonight and I have hit the ground running this morning. We are asked to be at the hall 1/2 hour before the teens show up (DH and I are 2 of many chaperones). Anyway, I gotta get going. Just wanted you all to know that I'll be pretty busy today and probably won't have an opportunity to check in again with you.

Have a great day and I'll try to check in tomorrow. Oh, I was told by the hostess of this event that they will have salad, green beans and baked chicken among other things on the menu so DH and I will be able to eat there. That's good to know.

Talk to you all later, as Sharon would say, have a Beachy day!

Good morning everyone. Things continue to be wonderful here and going very smoothly. Paige is still sleeping a ton and still doesn't really cry. She's almost too easy. My 3 year old loves helping and is a great big sister. I ended up gaining 18 pounds total with the pregnancy and I wasn't going to weight for 2 weeks but I broke down the other day and lost 13 of the 18 at 6 days post partum so I was pretty happy. I'm not going to weigh myself until next Thursday now. I'm going to try to limit my weigh ins to once a week even though I'm a scale obssesser. I've also taken my measurements so I can check those once every few weeks. I've started running errands and walking a little and I feel better physically. The pain is much less. Next week my doc said I could start going on short walks (15-20 min). I can't wait.

Have fun Lisa!

Hi Pam,
Enjoy being with your husband. It's so nice to have that alone time. I haven't tried the SB bars but the grocery store had them on sale 10 bars for $10 so I picked some up.

Pom,
Have fun at the BBQ this weekend. I don't have any recipes but I know I've seen posts before on a banana cream pie. I would just try doing a search.

Barb,
I made the Spongebobs flax bread and I have no bathroom issues anymore and it's sooo good. I also make sure to get at least 2 cups of veggies at lunch and dinner and have one snack with veggies.

Hi Marva,
I hope you have a wonderful time this weekend.

I hope to be able to start posting daily again. It's been a little hectic around here. It seems like I'm always washing dishes and doing laundry. H

Have a wonderful holiday and stay safe!

I just wanted to post quickly to let you all know after weighing in my garage this morning that I'm down 5 pounds since last time I weighed. Now don't get excited as I have seen this territory before but I'm thrilled to see the scale going back in the downward motion again.

Today is my day to will make it a full one. Have a wonderful Friday!

Hi

HAVE A GREAT LOOOONNNNGGG WEEKEND EVERYONE!

I have nothing special planned - girls are going to the zoo tomorrow and the boys are going to see Star Wars. On Sunday we have our sitters graduation party. Other than that - laundry, yard work and cleaning out the play room - donation time.

I'm in my same rut that I've been in since mid-March, but I'm trying not to knock myself too much because when I do and I'm down - I eat worse.

Today: 2 scrambled eggs; 2 whole grain toast; Diet V8 Splash
1 bag of Muncho's (ok, not on the list)
Chicken salad sandwich with frozen berries

I'm trying

Have a good one all, Renee

Thanks Denise! I'll have to make that. Honestly, I feel like I'm in ketosis because I have that chronic dry mouth in spite of the fact that I drink about a gallon of water a day. Weird!

Marva - thanks for being so helpful! Have a great weekend and enjoy your trip.

Hi Rebecca, glad you found us and check in when you can!

Penny, the only thing I would say about the coffeemate is that it is probably mostly high fructose corn syrup. That being said, we all make decisions every day, and you should do what works for you.

Barb - I lost switching from Atkins to SB phase two simply by watching my calories. I believe it isn't the carbs that make you gain, its complex carbs combined with high fat.

Pom - you're *so* close to the 30's, I know you can do it! My advice (for what it's worth) is to stay strong during TOM - eat well and stay off the scale, I bet you'll be there soon!

Pam - have fun with DH all to yourself!

Lis, omg it's your big formal tonight!!! Have a *great* time, and don't forget some pictures!!! I'm so happy for you and know you will just be stunning in your dress that your friends got you! Hurry back and tell us all about it.

Denise, it's good to hear from you. I'm so happy that Paige is doing well. Sorry to hear about the breast feeding issues, but glad she is healthy and quiet. I'll join you in a once a week scale challenge if you want - it would be good for me! He!! it seems like I'm always washing dishes and doing laundry, and I don't have and kids, I can't imagine how busy you are. Post some more pictures of Paige when you get a chance, I *love* baby pictures!!!

Sharon - that's great! Keep hanging in there!

Renee - good to hear from you. I know what you mean about doing worse when you get down on yourself, what a vicious cycle. It sounds like you have a busy weekend planned, just try to keep your mind off food issues, I find I do better when distracted.

As for Ally, I've been super busy lately. I'm supposed to be chilling out and relaxing after graduation, but it seems like there are a thousand things to do. Laundry and dishes are just the start. I am starting a temporary position with one of my professors doing so research work, and we are supposed to release a program that I and a fellow student wrote at a professional conference on June 10th, and I just found out it crashes for some unknown reason...uuuggghhh. I also saw a pretty high paying job opening that I actually qualify for and have been trying to get my resume together for that. It's not exactly what I want to be doing, but the pay is two ranges (about 12,000 more a year) higher than I was expecting to qualify for, and since I have the necessary experience in this field, *if* I got the position, I could always make a lateral move later. On the food front, I haven't been doing so well. I actually think I ate better while on vacation than since I have been back. I hasn't been affecting the scale terribly, but I don't feel very good about the choices I have been making. I'm going to try to not obsess about anything this weekend, and start fresh on Monday with some nice, clean OP eating.

Hi everyone! My name is Melissa....I am trying to lose my last ten baby weight pounds...and it is killing me. I'm nursing...so I can't do the first two weeks. I work out about 5 or 6 times a week. However, I eat too much at night.

I can't post too much as I am chasing around an 8 month old and working from home. I hope you don't mind if I join in every once in awhile.....

Melissa
