Move Over Aktins-I Think SB Has Won Me Over
Hi all, I've been so distraught over my 25 lb. weight gain. I have been on Aktins for almost 2 years & lost 60 lbs. But, since Dec. I just have been stumbling, on & off the diet and gained back 25 lbs. of it. I get so dissapointed in myself. I've noticed several other people migrating in to S.B. from Aktins, so I think I'm going to give it a try. I really do miss fruits, vegetables & whole grain rice. S.B. does seem a bit healthier. I've been lurking a bit & I've noticed a lot of good advice given by members, so please wish me luck!

Give it a try. I love SB WOE... I have told my story and success a few times that I am sure you have read already. I like how easy it is to get right back on track if you slip up (and I dont condone cheating for anyone but sometimes we just do.. ) I could never get back on track on Atkins. |

Thanks for the encouragement Pompom. One thing I don't understand why you're not allowed to have jerky. I've noticed some jerky is now made with Splenda. Do you think that would be ok? My son really likes jerky and I'm trying to get him back on track with this diet plan also. Too bad about watermelon, we both like it a lot. I bought a small one last night thinking it was on SB

Hi Bonnie!
Let me give you another to the Beach! You will love this program!!About the jerky, I don't know why it's not allowed on the program but I say if it's made with splenda then go for it. I still eat real bacon, wings and sometimes full fat cheese and haven't given up my heavy cream when I make alfredo sauce once per week. I also eat raisins everyday with my cereal and pineapple with cottage cheese. I admit I'm a bit of a rebel but it works for me. I am not trying to lead you down a bad path so please don't follow my bad example if you think it will stumble you. We all have to figure out what works for us!

Thanks for the info Zeraspride, the couple of things you mentioned you indulged in are the exact things I've missed: raisins in cereal, pineapple in cottage cheese, soooo good. Barb, sounds like a deal to me, good luck to you also!

Bonnie, you're in good company with us! We can all walk to this path to health and fitness together (with beef jerky sticks and pineapple chunks in our hands!)

Well I've been doing SB now for about ten days; trying to find an answer to Maintenance. I had also gained a little weight and just simply was not happy with the way I was eating. Now that I've added whole grains and more fruit, I'm a happy Beacher! I gained about three pounds in the beginning but today they are back off plus about a half pound. Couldn't be happier with my WOE!

Thanks girls. I'm looking forward to sharing with you. I have a lot to learn about eating a different way. After doing Atkins for 2.5 years, I'm ready for a change.
