Allergic to Dairy
Hi! I've been thinking about maybe doing South Beach, but when I look at everyone's menus, there seems to be a lot of cheese. I'm allergic to dairy and can't have cheese. Plus, I don't eat beef or pork. Should I just back away from South Beach and find something else or are there ways to modify it that would work for me?

I eat a lot of yogurt and sometimes add milk or cream to my coffee, but don't do nearly as much cheese as I did when on Atkins.
I also don't eat any beef, and very rarely eat pork (maybe once every few weeks) and I *love* SB. The thing about it is, it is very flexible and you can make it work for you. Then again I did Atkins without eating beef or pork also, so it's all relative. I just follow the guidelines for Phase Two allowed foods and try to make healthy choices. Good luck finding something that works for you, and come join our daily check in thread if you decide to do SB. |
