PHASE 1 AND PHASE 2 SAMPLE MENUS

Phase 1 Meal Plan Sample


Breakfast
6 oz tomato juice
Scrambled eggs with fresh herbs and mushrooms
2 slices Canadian bacon
Decaffeinated coffee or decaffeinated tea with nonfat milk and sugar substitute

Midmorning snack
1 part-skim mozzarella cheese stick

Lunch
Chicken Caesar salad (no croutons)
2 Tbsp prepared Caesar dressing

Midafternoon snack
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese with 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes and cucumbers

Dinner
Mahi mahi
Oven-roasted vegetables
Arugula salad
2 Tbsp balsamic vinaigrette or low-sugar prepared dressing

Dessert
Lemon zest ricotta crème

Phase 2 Meal Plan Sample


Breakfast
1 cup fresh strawberries
Oatmeal (1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
mixed with 1 cup nonfat milk,
cooked on low heat, and sprinkled with cinnamon
and 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts)
Decaffeinated coffee or decaffeinated tea
with nonfat milk and sugar substitute

Midmorning snack
1 hard-boiled egg

Lunch
Mediterranean chicken salad

Midafternoon snack
Fresh pear with 1 wedge Laughing Cow Light Cheese

Dinner
Spinach-stuffed salmon
Vegetable medley
Tossed salad (mixed greens, cucumbers, green peppers,
cherry tomatoes)
Olive oil and vinegar to taste

Dessert
Chocolate-dipped strawberries

PLEASE post more menu's or people who are willing to share their ******. I am MAKING THE SWITCH from years of Atkins, and even M&E and I just can't lose a bleeping pound. I feel as if I am obsessed with doing these diets correctly, I read the directions over and over, I don't eat any sugar, or drink any alcohol. EVER, or consciously cheat. I am o meds for hypothyroidism and it was suggested in that thread to try SB, so, Here I go! You seem to have a REALLY STRONG support group here. I have already printed out the FOOD LIST. I also am planning to workout...I'm starting with 20 minutes a day. I walk and am fairly active...but clearly not enough. I also have an appointment with a Dr. to discuss my recent blood work re: the hypothyroidism meds on Oct. 24. Thanks for any and all feedback, suggestions, regarding PHASE 1.

Go to the check in thread http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/sh...d.php?t=450637 and post your menus, EXACT foods, portions, ingredients, etc... There might be a simple correction. We'll all take a look and see what we think. It really won't help much for us to post our current menus, because it sounds like you need to be super strict for now. We're here to help. Good luck

Hi..I'm new to the site and program. I found the food list for phase 1, but not for 2 or 3...I'm sure I'm overlooking something. ..could you point me in the right direction please?

Food list basically remains the same but you gradually add new foods each day till you stop losing. Then it becomes maintenance. So, let's say since you haven't had carrots or (low glycemic) fruits on phase 1, you can have a serving on phase 2. If you don't stop losing then you can add another food. If you stop losing then just don't eat the food that caused a stall. Hope this helps!

Here ya go:PHASE 2 - ADDITIONS AND ONGOING WEIGHT LOSS

There are a few minor modifications, but this is the basic idea. The more complete lists are in your book.
