I tried it last week and only lasted 1 day. I guess it's not for me, but I will definitely try it if my weight loss plateaus, to jumpstart.

No...but I have been doing egg fasts every other day (just as many eggs as I want, oil/butter, and salt, and non-sweet drinks such as black coffee) to drop a few pounds...I am afraid to do that every day because I don't want my body to become adjusted to that, but it seems to be working as a short-term strategy. Although, too many eggs can be a little disgusting!

There was a thread about just eating meat/fat but I cannot find it. I'm doing "essentially" that and it seems to be helping.

i've been doing the egg fast, too, on an occasional JUDDD down day. i did 3 days in a row awhile back. i think it works great. maybe about as well as a fat fast. this is the plan:
for each egg (up to 6 eggs), have 1 T fat, and 1 oz. cheese. (you don't have to have all that cheese.) on this, my hunger is satisfied. i find it nips my cravings, too. meat / egg link: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ot...ummer-m-e.html Last edited by jenericstewart; 09-14-2014 at 07:20 AM.. |

I have tried both the fat fast and the egg fast. I was a lot more hungry on the fat fast, and lost more with doing the eggs. They are both insanely low in cals so it is pretty logical for someone to lose weight. They have recipes for what you can have on the fat fast. I did bulletproof coffee, macadamia nuts, I made and froze some fat bombs as well. I think for one meal I did tuna and lots of mayonnaise. It can have lots of variety but I was still hungry with the portions.

I'm going to start a fat fast tomorrow. I was going to start today, but thought I should do some grocery prepping first. I'm going to do two snacks after an early dinner instead of snacks during the day because that's the meal cadence I eat during my work days. This is my I intended menu and cals for tomorrow:
B: bulletproof hot chocolate 287 L: shiritake Alfredo 102 D: shiritake Alfredo 102 S: 5 slices pepperoni with bacon fat bomb dip 228 S: bulletproof ice cream 254 Cals. 973 Fat. 92% Protein. 4% Carbs. 4%

I'm considering this to break a plateau. Need to buy some CO. I can eat it by the spoonful! How are you doing Tammy?

Hey! I'm down .40 this morning. Not an impressive amount, but I'm happy to see any difference!

Hi Susan! Congrats on being down! Every step in the right direction is awesome. Definitely reason to be stoked!
![]() I've felt great on the fat fast, and only felt hungry twice, but not bad at all. Today is day 5, my last day of the fat fast for this week. I'm anxious to weigh tomorrow, hoping to break into the 160's. As of this morning, after four days, I'm down 4.2 lbs to 170.6 I'm thinking about trying to do this 4 or 5 days a week until I get much closer to goal. My pants were kinda baggy today and I loved it! Now I've gotta try to transition out of this without gaining too much back.....

Hello ladies! Congrats to those who got smaller in November!
I'm fairly new to lcf, mostly lc but open to new ideas. I've got some questions, maybe they're answered somewhere else and I just haven't stumbled upon them yet. I get that an egg fast you only eat eggs--up to 6 a day? with nothing else but cheese and butter (1T per egg) or co or other healthy oil? No stevia or anything else? Please correct me if I'm wrong. How does a fat fast work? are eggs allowed on fat fast? salads? what are some sample menus for fat fast? how long do you stay on it, and then what? Thanks for whatever info you can share, and please point me in the right direction if this isn't it. lol Tere Oh yeah, Tammy, how do you make your Alfredo sauce on the fat fast? |

I'm thinking several things may have converged to make me realize lc isn't going to work for me this time. So I'm checking out some other woes, wish me luck! Gotta a feeling I'm gonna need it! |
