August Menus - Grilling, Grilling, Grilling

I don't know when National Seafood Month is, but I am declaring August as my very own personal seafood month. Eating seafood 2-4 times a week. Will try to balance it out with a steak or chicken breast here or there. We are spending 10 days on gulf coast and will probably eat fresh, really fresh, seafood every day! Most everything below is grilled outside. A few insiders though.

My matrix: sometimes subject to change...especially if I forget to thaw something out or something catches my eye at the grocery store

Sunday- beef or pork night
Monday- burger night
Tuesday- seafood night
Wednesday- chicken night
Thursday- veggie/salad/meatless night
Friday- TexMex night
Saturday- Surf N Turf

Aug. 1 Friday bacon sausage quiche- trying a sweet potato crust this time. Google that- looks like a good idea.
Saturday grilled salmon, steak, grilled veggies quinoa salad
Sunday grilled snapper with olives, tomato salad, broccoli slaw

Aug 4 Monday Philly Cheese Steak burger (bought that way at store-can't wait to taste), wrap mine in lettuce
Tuesday Gone to babysit grand kids a few days- mama is a vegetarian so I will be having a protein over a salad for next few days. Today I will have shrimp
Wednesday pork chop
Thursday chicken breast (skin on of course)
Friday ribeyes, grilled cauliflower and broccoli
Saturday wine garlic sausage (market special), zucchini pasta with homemade marinara.
Sunday grilled veggie tacos, may add some ground beef...maybe not

Aug. 11 Monday burger night-how about lamb burgers? Add a cucumber and tomato salad with Greek dressing
Tuesday bacon wrapped shrimp/jalape˝o poppers
Wednesday prosciutto wrapped chicken breast, grilled veggies
Thursday Homesick Texan squash casserole, green salad
Friday TexMex pasta taco casserole, making with pasta ordered from Netrition (will report on taste and texture later)
Saturday- on the road and out of town (OOT) till the 25th. Luckily we are going to the Gulf Coast beach and have 24/7 access to fresh seafood. We won't be eating out everyday since we have a kitchen and a grill. Staying on plan, but may have piece of anniversary cake

Friday chorizo spiked marinara sauce over zucchini pasta, grilled broccolini
Saturday shrimp/sausage kabobs, smothered okra

September will look a lot like August...our cool spell won't happen for another six weeks around here...unless we have a hurricane
