Power Lifting

We have been staying in an upstairs apartment while our house is being built. We have to carry the groceries from the car, which is parked a distance away, and then we have to carry them up 24 steps. We are 64 & 71 and we never really had stairs in our lives, so it was a huge shock to us when we moved in. But we're getting used to it! Not saying I like it...

Today we each carried a 1-gallon jug of water up the stairs. It weighed 8 pounds. It was surprisingly HEAVY! The point is, IF YOU DON'T THINK LOSING 8 POUNDS IS A VERY BIG DEAL, go heft a gallon of water or a 10-pound roast.
