No Gall Bladder.
I am listening to Nora Gedgaudas talk about using bile salts if you do not have a gall bladder because it is harder to digest fat soluble vitamins and get the other benefits of eating fat.
A year after my first child was born (so almost 5 years ago) after severe dieting my gall bladder crystallized and I had to have an emergency surgery to remove it. Does anyone here not have a gall bladder? Is there anything important I should know? Fat does not irritate my stomach. |

I have no gall bladder either and haven't for several years due to a HUGE gall stone.
I have no problem with fat either. I did have bile salts show up in urine once in a physical, but that is the only gall bladder issue I have ever had since getting it out. I do have a vit D and a B12 deficiency. Not sure those are related at all to GB but I tke supplements and shots and all is good now. |

Thank you for your input. Do you eat anything supplemental to behave like bile? |

Thanks ladies
She was suggesting bile salts to help absorb fat soluble vitamins. I don't know that I want to go there yet though. By the way, your progress is super motivating Mthergoos. |
