Probiotic Recommendations?
The benefits from taking resistant starch can be enhanced by taking a probiotic. (resistant starch feeds the gut bugs, the probiotics can add new good bugs).
The recommendations on FTA and *** are both fairly pricey. Anyone have a probiotic they take and have had success with? If so, what is it and what change did you notice? Better digestion, better "bathroom visits", etc. |

Enzymatic Therapy Pearls Immune is the one I use and I haven't been sick all winter (other than allergies which these don't claim to help
![]() I don't usually have bathroom issues, so I can't attest to that aspect.

I am a nurse that works in a GI practice and the docs suggest PB8 a lot. It is cheapest on Amazon but can be found in most health food stores as well as some grocery stores. It has quite a few different strains of good bacteria which is helpful. It helps with bloating and stablizing BMs when one is prone to constipation or diarrhea. It can't hurt but it certainly can help! Good luck!

Probiotic
I get mine from homemade sauerkraut. It's simple to make and provides billions of good flora. I also make kefir out of milk. The good bacteria eat the lactose making it a low carb drink.

PB 8 is a product sold by Netrition. Just go to netrition.com and search for PB 8 (that's the #8) and it pops right up. It is a pro-biotic with 8 strains of bacteria made by Nutrition Now. 120 capsules with a recommendation to take 2 per day for $12.99.
