Women Thoughts and LC

Anyone have thoughts on how to cure ameronnea ( secondary) the natural, low carb way. More fat? Increase caloric intake?

So you mean amenorrhea? Absence of a period? If so, it could be due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos)... low carb helps get hormones back in balance which will bring menstruation back.

Excessively low body fat will also cause amenorrhea--very common among anorexics.

Whatever the cause, any woman who 'loses' her period and is not pregnant should see a doctor ASAP, IMO.

How old are you?

It can take some time to regain menses after proper nutrition is restored.

It could be peri-menopause/menopause right? Although I agree it's probably good to at least talk to a health care provider about it, regardless.

Peace, I believe you have indicated in other posts a history of eating disorders, correct? If so, and you are not having your period, I suggest you see a doctor ASAP.
