I don't eat peas, because they're too high carb for my plan. I don't know what plan you're following, though.

Eating peas would make me hungry if they took me out of my carb range (in my case, under 20g per day).

a cup of peas has 14 grams of net carbs. that's a big serving, but it gives you an idea.

Peas are pretty sweet and high in carbs as people have been saying. I find that even if a food that is relatively high in carbs will fit within my macros, I tend to not feel that great afterward. Hunger is an issue too.

For example, I ate very low carb one day because I wanted to reward myself with a piece of stone fruit. I ate the damn peach and an hour later I felt tired and bloated. Then the hunger pangs hit once the sugar high crashed. I've since realized that I have to be careful with fruit.

I suspect for peas it would be more subtle but the whole carb cycle would probably still be triggered.

Yes, for me it's definitely not just about the number of carbs, but the type of carbs. I'm hypoglycemic, and if it's high-glycemic, even a few bites can have an adverse affect on my system.

I agree, it's the type of carbs.
Cooked carrots, peas, corn, and cooked beets will throw me out of ketosis even when I eat under my carb limit.

It's probably better to replace the peas with lower sugar type vegetables.
