We take this one day at a time trying to lose 5 lbs., we will have all our names on a list with Starting weight, Current Weight, and Goal Weight. Just enter current weight and take 5 away and that will be the goal weight! It's easier for us to look at 5 pounds at a time, instead of staring at a big number! Join any time and post your changes when you can. We can do this!! A new challenge begins when someone loses their 5 pounds.

Thanks everyone!

I started Atkins back in the LC craze period 2003-04, lost 40lbs quickly, gained it back just as fast and never made it back down again. Then I quit a high stress job, took a year, well 2, off, and got up to 215. Went back to work last fall and slowly got down to 195 and hovered there thru the new year. That meant whatever I was doing, was maintaining that weight. DH had open heart surgery Thanksgiving, made lifestyle changes, is losing weight and blood tests are great, so I felt a bit "shamed" into taking a hard look at my lifestyle--I knew what needed to be done.

So at yet another try to get LC done right and stick with it--here I am. I know the drill, and I know my pitfalls. For all I know, I may not be back to finish this challenge, especially with the weekend "danger zone," but I decided to claim "goal" to keep me motivated, to know I CAN DO THIS!

For any of you struggling, keep trying, maybe a different tack or twist on the theme--that's what I've been trying--there's no shame in fresh starts.

I started Atkins back in the LC craze period 2003-04, lost 40lbs quickly, gained it back just as fast and never made it back down again. Then I quit a high stress job, took a year, well 2, off, and got up to 215. Went back to work last fall and slowly got down to 195 and hovered there thru the new year. That meant whatever I was doing, was maintaining that weight. DH had open heart surgery Thanksgiving, made lifestyle changes, is losing weight and blood tests are great, so I felt a bit "shamed" into taking a hard look at my lifestyle--I knew what needed to be done. So at yet another try to get LC done right and stick with it--here I am. I know the drill, and I know my pitfalls. For all I know, I may not be back to finish this challenge, especially with the weekend "danger zone," but I decided to claim "goal" to keep me motivated, to know I CAN DO THIS! For any of you struggling, keep trying, maybe a different tack or twist on the theme--that's what I've been trying--there's no shame in fresh starts. {{Hugs}} to everyone--WE CAN DO THIS!
