Slow and steady wins the race....

I got on the scales this morning and realised I have dropped 24lbs since I started. It's not fast by any measure, but I'm certainly happy!

I'm also noticing inchloss practically all over my body now, so nice!

I really thought that I had my golden shot and I wouldn't lose weight with LC anymore, and had decided to stick with LC just because it makes me feel good. But somewhere along the line, it's clicked and I'm losing weight! It goes in fits and starts, and some weeks I even gain, but somehow I always end up lower than the month before!

I know lots of you are in doubt, are worried that they aren't losing fast enough, but I say GIVE IT TIME, WORK THE PROGRAM! It really does work. Don't tweak until you KNOW things aren't working. It took ages for my weight to start going down, but I now know it was because of tweaking before letting the actual program work for me. I have figured out my perfect macros and the range I need to stick to to lose weight and I'm working with that. Nothing else.

I've got lots more to lose until goal, and I'm sure that I'll get stuck a few times along the way, but I'm prepared and I won't let that derail me. Instead, I'm letting my body and my brain catch up with eachother!

Adding in exercise regularly has helped with feeling energetic and positive, and is starting to reshape me.

Visiting a naturopath and doing Maria Emmerich's health assessment have both given me a basis from where I can start focusing on getting healthy and getting rid of some long term issues I've been having.

I feel really positive that LC is the way to go for me, and I can't wait for the next 24lbs to be gone!

Nice post! You are so right that even if you see nothing happening at the time, you feel better. That is what can make this a lifestyle change and not a diet. You just feel better! Keep up the good work.

Perception is an interesting thing - if your stats are correct, we started at almost the exact same time at pretty close to the same weight. I have lost exactly 24 pounds, too. But I feel like I am losing very quickly - not at all slow & steady!!!

I keep telling myself that I won't be able to keep up the pace of this loss for forever, and I am committed to staying the course, even when my weekly weigh-ins aren't showing a 2 pound drop.

What matters is that commitment to stick to it - whether it feels like it is going fast or slow! Congrats on all your progress!!!

24 pounds is a LOT. And good for you for staying the course through slow or stopped losses - that's hard to do .

And it's inspiring for other slow losers to hear about making progress even when it seems like it's not working.
