Crystal Light

Crystal light says on the package that each serving has 0 carbs,0 grams protein, fat, and sugars, but it says it has 5 calories. Does anyone know where the 5 calories come from? Is that maybe .9 carbs that it is allowed to have and still label it 0?? I like it, and it's on sale right now for 50 cents for each package that makes 10 quarts, so if it's OK to drink I want to stock up on it.

I drink that some and I don't worry about it when it says no carbs or cals...it is for me...Sometimes when I make it up I just add alittle to a large glass of ice water to drink just for some flavor and not drink the full amt...
No excuses....No hidden secrets....Life is too short ...

I tend to be a stickler so I'd be a bit concerned about the fact that there are 5 calories yet no carbs. That doesn't make sense to me that something can be 0 calories, 0 fats, etc...but 5 calories. Illogical.

Yes, it's probably some food-labeling trickery to count it as a fraction of a carb - I'd count it as 1 carb per serving.

1 gram of sugar = 4 calories.

(a gram of sugar is a gram of carbs, btw)
