For this alone I will stay low carb

It is 11:00 in the morning and I am not starving! This is only my second week of induction and I can't believe that I have been up for 5 hours and am not eating everything in sight! For the first time in my life I feel like I am in control of my food and not the other way around! Super excited!

Fantastic. It will stay that way if you eliminate carbs. Pay attention to the days when you get really hungry. It is usually caused by something you ate. If you pay attention, you will notice a pattern and you can eliminate stuff that make you hungry. A couple of things that do it for me are alcohol, too much caffeine, and Atkins shakes.

I was eating the Atkins bars and drinking the shakes, I found that I was hungrier and not losing weight. After I stopped them, things have gone a lot smoother.

I can definately relate to waking up and not ravaging everything in sight, and it is so liberating to feel in control like that!

I have found that even if I do get hungry in ketosis, it's a duller hunger that doesn't bother me vs. a sharper hunger that high carb gives me and makes me feel sick and ravenously hungry. I'll stick with ketosis.

I agree that the hunger is different; definitely more manageable.

Me too. I feel the hunger but I'm not ravenous, and I can (mostly) ignore it. I just wish I could keep myself busier and not have to sit at a desk all day! It's hard to ignore it when I'm kinda focused on it.

Totally agree, also it's the only WOE that lets me walk by cookies in the office without being tempted.

It really is amazing. My whole life I was always hungry for something. When I'm low carbing I don't really feel that way. Problems can come up if I overdo it on booze. The next day I want lots and lots of high carb junk that I normally would have with booze.

It's cool because my 'hunger' is not the uncontrollable, must have junk food or heck whatever is closest to stuff my face with hunger, but more controlled hunger and craving proteins and low carb instead of crap, I love it!
