Just clambering back onto NK, anyone with me?

Just clambering back on board (again!)
Had 3 hectic weeks, what with my parents leaving the country to return to India and all, it was crazy. In middle of that I had signed up for a Half marathon, which is now thankfully done, finished in 3:30... haha! I know slow. I came in 5th! (from the last )

So now ready to start preparing for a full marathon next Jan and trying to speed up my pace as well, which, I know I could do better if I could shake these last 10 pounds off!

You are most welcome to join me here and I'm going to keep posting till I get some loss happening.

Elliot, I'm with you on the Last10 pounds. I've never been a runner, was always way too fat to put that into my joints. At 63 I'm sticking to Pilates Reformer 4-5x a week and lots of walking.

May I ask how tall you are?

But if you want support to get off the final pounds. I'm here.

My son lived in Dubai for a year.

Hi Last10 (luv ur name btw ). Think ur new here, so
Yes, Dubai is a wonderful place to be at, been here in UAE almost all my life

lol! u just asked me a question that I get over and over again
I am short.. about 149cm if I round it off hence the reason I am for my small physical frame, overweight.. well not right now as I have lost a bit since I started.
Ideally I should be losing another 13pounds for my perfect weight, but I'll just concentrate on the 10 for now. They have to go and as my doc said, I gotta get leaner and lose that weight to get faster and to prevent injuring my foot again and again with all the running I'm doing.

I did try pilates and other forms of workout and discovered after I started walking in 2012 and then running that it was the one for me. The rest bores me after a few sessions and I begin to dread them. Running on the other hand keeps challenging me so it works

I'm officially starting tomorrow, back to the gym as well as I still have a few months of membership left and I lose weight best with low carb and high intensity at the gym.

*fingers crossed* we can do this.... Hopefully in 3-4 months. The last 10 is the hardest as they say...

Thanks Bella

Sort of back in NK as of this morning. Yesterday I was low carb but had a lot of nuts in the morning, so I guess the effects needed some time to go away. This morning breakfast was eggs with CO, lunch fish fried in CO and dinner chicken curry with CO. Had tea with HWC in the early evening too. My breath is changing slightly and I think by tomorrow I should be in the beginning stages of ketosis. Trying to keep my water intake up too.

Off and on AGAIN!
I wish I would let myself get so easily derailed.
I had not been working out for almost 2 weeks after the HM now and I think getting back to running will help get back on track overall.


Did a 1k run this morning at 8 kmph in 7:52 at a 2.5 incline on the treadmill.
Had tea with butter for breakfast.
