right knee pain

i have been having pain in my right knee right under the patella for two days. it is tender and sore to the touch. it's making it hard for me to do exercise. i don't know what's going on.

You might want to rest it by not exercising and elevating it when you can. If it is not better soon, I would see a doctor. Knee problems in my family have been severe and hard to pin point the why but the treatment is always pretty much the same.

Rest, elevate, alternate heat and cold therapy. You may have aggravated a ligament. Don't exercise if it hurts! Muscle soreness is one thing to deal with while exercising, but you don't want to mess around with joint pain.
