7 years later here I am again!

Well, folks, I gradually abandoned my LC lifestyle and am back after a 7 year absence. I had lost 40 lbs. but didn't keep it off. Maintenance is hard!

Although I have gradually lost 5 lbs. since Thanksgiving, my new doctor (thanks, ACA ) wants me back LCing so here I am.

My type 2 diabetes is terrible, I have NO energy. Can barely walk. Have bad headaches. Life has become non-existent for me. I want to turn this around because at 64, I don't want my life to be over (meaning dead in the water even if not literally dead).

I need some hugs to encourage me I can do it this time. Thanks for listening.

One my Dr. gave me....I guess you'd call it a combination of Atkins & South Beach.

Ooooo! Come over to the South Beach board and take a look: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/so...-new-year.html We're a small group, but we'll talk to you and give you all kinds of encouragement and walk with you every day. You absolutely can do this!

You all seem so very brave. Good luck and Velcro vibes (for sticking to plan) coming your way.

I too am back after a long time away. Please send some Velcro Vibes my way too if you like.

Thanks.

back! It sounds like you have a very progressive doctor! Wonderful advice. This board is fantastic so don't forget to make regular use of it in your daily plan.

Hi, glad you found your way back home. You had lost a lot. You can do it again, you know you can. Just do what you did before or much like it. Thinking of you.
