UD Monday - kicking the week off right!

Is that a split infinitive?

Ok, not happy with the scale, but pushing forward anyway.

B: if I get around to it, eggs with cheese
L: some slices of braeseola (I really can't spell that). Maybe another slice of cheese

D: testing a recipe for a LCHF cookbook
lamb burger with olive tapenade (purchased) and feta crumbles.

some sort of veggie (I think broccoli)

I included 4 squares of dark chocolate.

Under 20g carb for the day, not quite at my 2200 limit either, so we'll see what happens.

Trying to use up stuff from the fridge since we'll be gone for a couple of weeks.

B - BPC and peppered turkey breast rolled up in swiss cheese
L - Square of pumpkin pie cake and leftover stuffed turkey breast
D - Leftover greek chicken breast, dumpling squash and salad

Should end up around 1850

Just realized I have potato gnocchi that need to be used today, so will have those as a side, and my carb/calorie counts will go up. But lots of good protein to counterbalance.

Low carb for the time being . . .

B: 2 eggs with 2 slices of ham and cheddar, coffee, iced tea
L: Atkins frozen meal - crustless chicken pot pie, 6 romaine heart leaves, dressing of some sort (have to check the fridge here).
D: Meat of some sort and broccoli
S: pepperoni and sharp aged cheddar, HB egg

No dressing here, and the guys went to In N Out, and it sounded better than my TV Dinner, so they're bringing me back a double double, protein style, with no tomatoes or sauce.

Had a very junky bfast of crackers and cookies. + 100 cals of coffee w/H&H - 570

Lunch was a chicken enchilada and a jello pudding cup -330 total

Dinner will be rib-eye steak, baked potato w/butter, sour cream and cheese - around 700-800

wine to make up the difference

Dawn, how was your Atkins day?

Me: stuck to the plan pretty well. Had more chocolate than planned, but my plan went to 2000 and ii have up to 2300, so I think I'm OK.

Got very tired around 4:30, tried to nap, but it didn't happen.

Dinner was good and simple. Lamb burgers with a spoon of jarred tapenade, and a spoon of feta crumbles, and some onion slices.
Would also be good with other ground meats.

OK, off to plan tomorrow!

Soren, the greek chicken is good! There's no real recipe for it - I like to cut up the chicken breasts into chunks, then season heavily with Cavender's Greek Seasoning, then drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, mix in some minced garlic, grind some himalayan pink salt and pepper over it. We like to add roasted red peppers torn up into thin strips, then some crumbled feta and sliced black olives. When I have fresh parsley and oregano I add in some of that too. Bake about 10 minutes, mix it all up, bake a bit more until done. Leftovers are great on salads.

Edited to add: Veered off plan, might not like my visit to the scale tomorrow

A flat white is a coffee that is almost a latte but stronger. It was developed in the Antipodes and has become very popular here in the past few years, you can Google them. I like mine made with soya milk, a habit I got into when I was doing LC. At home I use dairy but if it is available I always have my coffee shop drinks made with soy milk.

It sounds delicious, Cindy. The big chain coffee shops seem to only make the sickly sweet concoctions. Maybe I just don't know what to order, lol.

Welllll, I ended up snacking on fritos and had a big bowl of cereal before bed. Not quite sure how far over my cals I went, actually, but not too much considering.

Atkins day was good.

Dinner ended up being lamb steaks with roasted cauliflower. Sugar free jello with whipped cream for dessert.
