Thanks Colleen. I haven't decided yet. I'm either going to weigh on the 17th, which would be after 15 days of good, clean rotations. and after a DD. Or I might just wait until the 31st. I'm really curious, but I also want to give all the holiday stuff to come off and not be disappointed.

Interestingly, I've been using Ketostix, and while they are turning pink, they're nowhere near the dark purple I usually get when LCing. Granted, I haven't been under 20g a couple of days. Also, these stix are at least 5 years old, so they may be losing their umph. I'm trying not to take it as a sign that I'm not doing very well.

Carol I am interested in that Greek feta dressing. Do you make that yourself, or do you buy it? Sounds yummy. The whole salad actually does. I tried cottage cheese on my salad and uh . nuff said. lol

Oh, it's sooo good! It's Girard's brand and is called Greek Feta Vinegarette. It comes in a glass bottle, kind of triangle shaped. I get it at Fry's (Kroger). I hope you can find it!

My first DD after 2UD's and I am cranky about not being able to eat...

I am fighting on!

I made a almond milk latte this morning but only drank half (25)
Put together a can of tuna with mayo, mustard, garlic powder, pepper, and some dill relish (330)

355 for the day

I never really measured out mayo before... Wow, that is a lot of calories for so little mayo!
I would eat tons of that stuff on LC. No wonder I wasn't losing weight! I can lick that stuff from the spoon!

Was out shopping all day so I skipped my coffee and had a small banana instead. Didn't feel like cooking so I had leftovers, 3 oz of lean boneless pork chop and a cup of sauerkraut when I got home just a bit ago. At 252 so far for the day. I'm going to try to stay strong and just have chicken broth this evening, but I've got some shredded cabbage I can stir fry up if I need something more.

I KNOW RIGHT??? Cheese is like that too-- a slice is like 80-100 cal.

I know on LC they say you don't have to count calories, but I've read other LC articles where they say the "metabolic advantage" is only about 200 cal.

And you're packing in the mayo, butter, bacon (b/c LC says not to have too much cheese and cream due to net carbs), you still need to be careful!

I think on one hand, the LC nay-sayers harp on the bacon and cheese, and don't read about the metabolic advantage, about the ills of sugar, etc.

on the Other Hand, LC folks don't read the fine print, where Atkins would say that you can't just eat and eat and eat, and that as you get closer to Maintenance, you can add back some carbs, but you also have to watch what you're eating.

The thing *I* remember most was his concept of a radical solution to a radical problem (like 2 inverted triangles fitting together to make a rectangle..) AND that as your problem was less radical and more "normal", you could then eat more "normally" but still watching carbs, and seeing what worked for you.

Maybe people just didn't get to that page? They jumped right to bacon-wrapped-lobster-on-steak-on-melted-cheese-chip? (omg, that sounds good).

Ok, rant over.

That all said, DH is picking up Subway for dinner. The fish and stirfry was not jazzing me.

I'm having turkey on wheat, no mayo, no cheese, all veggies. Site lists it at 580 cal for a 12" sub.

that puts me at 25% for the day, which is ok with me.
Wonder what the scale will show tomorrow?

5oz wine is on average around 120-125 cal. (depends on white or red, etc).

Definitely dd doable.

that could very well be why i stalled at 137 for a full year doing LC. cheese was my go to food! crazy......
