it's all about perspective

i was complaining to JD (the hubs) that i was disappointed in my DD today. i told him i was up to 395 calories today. the look on his face was priceless.

to him that is sooooo ridiculously low, for me it is not my best DD at ALL.

everything's relative, dear boy....

Yeah I know what you mean my dd number is 387 I think so if I can come in under that I feel like I had a good one. If I can actually keep it around 200 that's when I see the numbers on the scale really start to move. That's why I'm trying to have a good low dd today so I can kick this thing off with a boom! lol

It's an amazing DD! You should be proud. I know you try and keep it lower, but this is still a successful DD, and way lower than many of us ever manage.

I get the same looks from my husband...lol
he thinks i am nuts with all of the things i do. He thinks that my body is just totally jacked up from all of the different diets i do and thats why i keep gaining weight. He is probably right to a certain extent.
My DD will be 371 if i dont eat anything for dinner but im sure i will. After getting home from the gym I will end up eating something. I'm hoping to just do either an egg white omelet or a protein shake. Whatever i will be under 500 adn thats all i can hope for!!!
Especially when there is a HUGE tin of my favorite cookie in the breakroom staring at me every time i walk in there!!! I love the danish butter cookies!! A client brought a huge container of them. I mean huge!!! I keep telling myself i can have some tomorrow!!!

Well my DD is terrible today

Many of my days lately are so stressful, so I eat more then I should at times. I know I should have 500 calories today, but I now figure if I have even under my UP I should not gain - think?

I am now at 1013 for the day, so I will call it a ??? day!

As infrequently as possible as long as you are losing.
Many of us seemed to have to do it every 30 or so pounds.
I consciously lowered my DDs, but my UDs just got lower by themselves.

Most of us don't and we don't recommend them either. That isn't to say I haven't ever done it, but last time it was because I forgot! LOL.

Life happens, remember the 4 Rs… see below.

yes, it was tough. but it was nice to see a wee bit of a lower number rather than the bounce i would definitely get with two UD's in a row. i did that last month and it took me THE WHOLE MONTH to get back to where i was before the two UD's. i wish there were an easier way to switch up the rotations. two UD's make me want to pound my head into the wall and 2 DD's are just too darn hard.

The only times I have done two DDs in a row were inadvertent: family emergencies on what was supposed to be an UD. Each time, I visited the hospital snack room or cafeteria, looked over my choices, and walked away chanting, "Hunger is not an emergency". Some choices are best left unexplored.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Why is food in hospitals so totally unhealthy?
