What LC food do the little ones love?

Hi all, going to pot luck on Friday where there will be lots n' lots of kids - under 10 but mostly under 4. I have been asked to bring kid-friendly side dishes. What are your little ones faves? Just looking for some more ideas! Thanks

My 4 year old loves ham & cheese roll ups with ranch or mayo. Pickles and olives. Cream cheese clouds. Pepperoni spread with a little cream cheese and a small piece of cheese on top (she calls them pepperoni sandwiches). This is higher carb but she absolutely loves apple "fries" dipped in all natural peanut butter. Just slice an apple into sticks and you've got fries.

Good luck!

DS is almost 3. He loves veggies with ranch, sliced fruit, berries, nuts (cashews especially!), celery stuffed with peanut butter, cheese sticks and salami. That is just off the top of my head. I would make a big platter of stuff like that.

I have a jello "Jello-beans" mold, and am always asked to bring them to family gatherings. The little ones love to pop them in their mouths. I often use SF jello and they never notice the difference.

Personally I would not use artificial sweeteners with children unless their parents have explicitly stated it is ok. Many people are as vehemently against artificial sweeteners as us LCers are against sugar. The only exception I might make is erythritol and/or stevia (and I am not sure about those even.)

A friend's kids loved my fat bombs, just loved them. Asked for them on the regular. I made them with Stevia.

Yes, about the sweetners, I was going to put an ingredient list by my dish (sweet or not) so if anyone has allergies to whatever might be in it or just don't want to eat a particular ingredient then they don't have to. Let my DS have the thing I bake with erythritol and stevia, but I wouldn't expect all parents to be ok with that if they weren't familiar with those ingredients.
I think I might go with the loaded "fauxtato" casserole. I might make something sweet too, we'll see how much time I have.
