Flax recipe conversion (pregnant daughter)

The doctor wants her to eat flax. I am trying to think of recipes she might like. The "spongebob muffins" Would work very well I think to make to have on hand.
This is the original recipe that I have always added banana flavoring too.

Banana Flax Muffins
2 cups flaxmeal
1 cup nuts
1/2 cup granulated splenda (will have her use sugar)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda

4 eggs
1/3 cup cooking oil
1 tablespoon banana extract

Now here is my question.....This calls for 1/2 cup s/f vanilla syrup. She doesn't want to use artificial sweeteners.... should she just buy regular vanilla syrup or could she just use vanilla and a bit more sugar?

any more recipes I can convert for her.

Anita why don't you use bananas or something else for sweetener instead of sugar?Maybe honey or raw sugar. More natural for her pregnacy.Did you find more recipes?

I'd think she'd want to start slow with the flax and work up slowly, otherwise, it could cause Other/opposite problems.

Found some and printed them for her. Will tell her to use natural things. I did see where you can make a Mim with applesauce too.

The other problems is why they want her to eat this. The prenatal vitamins are giving her such issues. She is just 6 weeks.
