Does anyone else stop losing in week 2?

I see this on the weight loss shows and experience it myself, after a great 1st week, it's like my body goes "nope, no more." and my losses stop... what's the deal?

It's your body catching up with the big initial drop, essentially. It's really common.

Yes. After the initial water weight loss, I now either lose steadily but very slowly (like .1 or .2 lbs per day), or drop a few sudden pounds and then stall out for a couple of weeks. It's all averaging out to about a pound a week, which I can live with.

It is definitely a pattern for most of us. It is your body's way of figuring out what is going on after the jolt of weight loss on week one.
