Bought some end pieces of pastrami, came up with this. amounts of ingredients are approximate
1/4 head shredded cabbage (microwaved for a couple of min.
salt, a few pats of butter
crushed caraway seeds
can of Libby's sauerkraut
1 lb pastrami sliced/ chopped/ what ever you have
1/2 lb monterey jack (what I had on hand, probably better with swiss)
more crushed caraway, maybe 1/2 T total
bake about 15 min
I mixed 2T mayo with SF catsup SF pickle relish to serve on the side
microwaved 1 med potato, 1/2 for DH scraped most of middle out of other 1/2 baked both in oven with casserole. my splurge on carbs, probably 15 gr. for my part of potato
