How much do you lose before you change your calories?

Do you change it when you have a significant change in your activity level?

I don't change anything until there's a true stall (several weeks without pounds or inches lost). For me, that was about every 30 pounds, regardless of activity level.

Yep, what Dawn says. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Says the person who just recently lowered her calories and stopped losing. Doh!

I am still at my original numbers. As LCG said, I only reduced them once, and promptly stalled. Back to the original ones I went! Don't do a THING unless forced to.

I made the mistake of lowering my calories right after I lost a couple lbs and was thismuch closer to my goal. I was so desperate I lowered them to the next weight I wanted to reach and immediately stalled then gained slightly. I bounced around for awhile then went back to the last set of calories I was using and reached my lowest weight to date.

I also wasn't sure about using the "very active" setting on Dr. J's site. Part of me wants to because of my swimming but the other part says my butt don't need it.

I use the little to no exercise option even though I exercise 5-7 days a week. I never had to make a real effort to lower my UDs. My appetite really shrunk and as I lost weight I just couldn't eat what once could. I did make my DDs as low as was feasible, about 150 calories during WLM and 300 during maintenance. Then I don't have to be super careful to keep at 1550 if dessert is involved.
