Tired & crashing during week 3?

Hi All -
Not sure what's going on with me. I've been on induction for 3 weeks as of today. I've been doing great and feeling great (well, after the first 2-3 days) up until yesterday. Now, all of a sudden, I am feeling weak and tired. Last night I barely had the energy to stand up and cook. I didn't feel like eating, but I knew I needed to so I ate 6 oz of steak and a cup of broccoli with butter. I also had a pickle spear for the sodium. I went to bed earlier than usual thinking maybe I just needed extra sleep, but I'm still feeling just as tired today.

I had a blood panel drawn before I ever started Atkins and I don't have any known medical issues.

I haven't found much information about this happening in the 3rd week & appreciate any input.

I think I went through something similar around that time, I don't remember how long it lasted but it did pass, your body is still adjusting, but try keeping your sodium up, I've eventually learned after 5 months that I'm not getting enough.

Is it possible youre not getting enough sodium? Fatigue, according to the book, can be cause by low sodium. They recommend drinking a cup of broth (not low sodium) twice a day, or using 1/2 teaspoon of salt a day, or using 2 Tbsp. of soy sauce (not low sodium) a day, unless you're on a diuretic or have been advised by your doctor to restrict your salt intake.

Other than that, we are in the beginning of cold and flu season, I hope you're not getting sick. I went to buy my daughter Airborne today and the drug store was out. She said everyone at school is sick.

I second the broth. When I start to feel achy and tired, as I do from time to time when I am really restricting my carbs I sip a nice steamy cup!

From what I can remember that happened to me too. Broth will Definetly help with that.

Starting Again! Lost 67 lbs then gained a lot back
