Going To Give It Another Shot

Hello friends,

Well I am back to give it another shot, the past few times that I tried I failed and to be honest I did not care that I did, I guess I really was not ready in my heart to try, but my health has gotten to a point that I no longer have a choice. I have high blood pressure, I am prediabetic, I have joint deteration, depression, fibromyalgia and I know that if I would loose this weight it would help with every single one of my problems. I am 38 years old and I feel like I am 100, and I am to young to be this fat, and this sick.

So please wish me luck, and for those of you that believe in prayer please lift me up to the Lord and ask Him to help me. Have a great night and God bless you all.
Current weight 343 Goal Weight 150

Welcome back! I am 43 years old and have lost 83 lbs. in just under 11 months. You can do it. I would also note that the weight itself is likely not the root of all of the health issues you have. It is the diet that you have been eating (I am assuming Standard American Diet). I think you will feel much better fairly quickly after starting low carb eating, even before you have lost a significant amount of weight. That's why you have to stick to this diet for life, for health it's important.

You CAN do this! Think of the weight-loss process as a gift you are giving yourself because the improvements in your health will be the best gift you ever received.

I know this because as you can see from my stats, I began where you are--but also post-menopausal and after a lifetime of morbid obesity. And I've been maintaining my current weight for over three years. At your age, you have an advantage over me.

Like you, I 'dieted' several times, and just regained the 20-30 lbs I lost each time. I've read that many smokers are successful at quitting only after 5 or 6 tries, and that may be true with weight loss as well.

So think of those 'other times' as preparation for THIS successful process of managing your weight.

Welcome back, and best of luck! I agree that you will see benefits long before you reach your goal weight. This way of eating addresses all of your issues-- my blood pressure normalized quickly-- within the first couple weeks.

I'm 57 with health issues and several food intolerances and I'm doing it, you can too!!

Never look at it as a failure

Just dont set start and end dates, and think about it as being healthy.. that is our goal, being healthy .. not skinny or whatever. You want to be in better health. I wouldnt even use a scale, but once a week. Walk and exercise, watch what you eat and you will re find your health!!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away
Currently total lost 120lbs!!

I know how you feel. I'm 38 in dec and have felt like 100 for a few years now. I have maintained my 350 lb body for close to 10 years. I restarted this month too. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. We can do this. I will be praying for you.
