I hate DD and TOM
TOM is on the horizon and this evening I'm just miserable. So hungry. I think today alone I've gone through almost an entire jar of dill pickles. Maxed out on 500 calories at 5:30 at dinner so now just hot tea and pickles...yeah it's kinda a gross combo
![]() I need to just go to bed so I can get through the rest of the night. Anyone else struggle on DD when TOM is about to arrive? |

Way too much time on my hands!

Sometimes yes, Kel. For me though, pre-TOM UDs are my bigger problem. Somehow every 2 or 3 months I'll go overboard late in the evening after an otherwise stellar UD. Then I seem to be okay the next day.

YES- Kel, both on DD and UD and that's when I usually give up on JUDDD. Don't get discouraged when this happens. If you have to eat little more do it. Your body may need the extra calories before TOM. I go through this every month. I am sure your case is not as bad as mine. Hang in there!!!

I usually feel more hunger right before TOM also. When I know that is the reason I just remind myself that hunger is not an emergency and it will pass. If I'm really hungry, but don't want to eat I make a hot mug of tea or broth. Usually 1/3 of the way through I put it down and forget all about the tea/ broth and being hungry.

I get very ravenous the week before TOM. I usually just up my water intake, stay as busy as possible and ignore my stomach for those few days. As Carly said....it passes.

My go-to is broth (beef or chicken) with a little tomato sauce in it and a splash of tabasco. For whatever reason that works on my cravings or hunger like magic.
