Maybe the dumbest carb question ever but I have to ask

Occasionally I like deep fried green beans. If I fry them in my deep fryer after frying French fries then the small remnants of the fries will stick to them right? So how many carbs will that add do you think?

Not dumb question!
I have pondered this myself.
With green beans I would think that the beans themselves have more carbs that the remnants of the fries. I think that the about of added carbs would not be significant.
Like the way you think!

The only issue would be of the small amount of potatoes caused cravings...other wise I agree with what was stated above.

Not a dumb question! But definitely an interesting one! One question I have is, what makes you think those bits will stick to the green beans? Have you tried making your own green bean breading? I do love fried green beans!

Could you maybe coat the green beans in something like parmesan cheese and just make them right after you've changed the oil in your deep fryer so that the bits of fries don't stick to them? Just a thought.

Do you strain your grease?? If not, this will take out the bits of french fries in it and then you will have clean grease to fry them in without having to change it.

I don't think it's a dumb question. I've agonized over beef stews before -- "even if I pick the carrots and potatoes out, will the tiny starch particles stick to the meat?" And then I just decided they probably don't

One of the very few things we have complete control over is what we put in our mouths. Unless someone hogs us down, pries open our jaws and force feeds us, we have total and complete control of our eating.
