One Month on JUDDD

I started JUDDD on 8/11/13. One month later, I have:

Lost 5 pounds on the scale
Lost 4.3 pounds of body fat
Lost 0.7 pounds of lean mass

Lost 1/8" around my neck
Lost 3/4" around my bust
Lost 1/2" around my waist
Lost 1-1/4" around my belly
Lost 1-1/8" around my hips
Lost 1/2" around each thigh
Lost 3/8" around each calf

Lost 1.8 percentage points off of my body fat
Gained 1.8 percentage points onto my lean mass

To reach my goal, I need to:

Lose 5.3 pounds of body fat
Gain 4.5 pounds of lean mass

Lose 2-3/8" around my waist
Lose 5/8" around my hips

Wow - nice work! I love how you're tracking body fat and lean mass - so very important!

Thanks, Ladies!

I just adjusted my food so that I am getting an average of 70g of protein per day instead of just 66g. If I don't see an increase in lean mass after a week, I will try to bump it up a little bit more, as long as my blood sugar allows me to.

Thanks, Melinda! My main concern now is to get that lean mass up a bit, even if it means I gain some scale weight.

My highest lean mass, back in February 2011, was 101 pounds (I have lost over 10 pounds of muscle since then). I was lifting weights at that time and had a testosterone implant in my hip.

I would love to get to that level of muscle again!

fantastic! How do you feel? And are you going to keep up this way of eating? I am just curious about these questions if you don't mind me asking... I have been doing this for about a week, weighing in tomorrow, don't feel too much change, but we will see! I will say I am enjoying it overall, so I hope it works.

Enjoy your success, you deserve it for your hard work ad dedication!

I usually feel pretty good. Sometimes, on my down days, I don't feel tip top, but it is getting better. When I reach my goal body fat of 30%, I will continue to eat this way, but possibly do something like two up days and then one down day and see how that works for me.

If I could suggest one thing, I would say to take your measurements right away and do not go by what the scale says. The scale lies, and the measuring tape does not. If all you do is weigh yourself on the scale, you will not know if you are losing body fat or lean mass.

will do, off to find a measuring tape for tomorrow am. I am a little bloated at the moment from the huge amount of water I just consumed to help me stay full! I can tell a difference in my SKIN after just 1 week of focusing on water consumption, a nice benefit I wasn't expecting! Now if my 'system' would cooperate I think I will be in business....I just started taking magnesium per some of the tips on other threads trying to help get things...moving. Sorry for the TMI!

I love any tips you have to offer, thanks so much!

Disney, be sure that you are drinking your water at least an hour before or after you eat, but not at the same time as when you are eating. This way, you will not be diluting your stomach acid while you are eating. You need that acid for proper digestion.

Fantastic

You are really dedicated. Almost goal. Wonderful.
How do you get 70
grams of protein on a DD? Would like to know
. Today I made terrible
choice of food. Was out and about and went where DH wanted to go.
Am not giving the power of choice over to him but I could have done better.

Thanks, Barbo!

I do not get 70g of protein on a DD. I get 28g on my DD and 112g on my UD, which averages out to 70g per day over the two days.

What I used to eat was only an average of 66g averaged over the two days.

Congrats! Glad this is getting easier. It really does get easier. Fantastic news on gaining LBM!

When I told you how I always plan dinner first, I forgot to mention I start with protein, then my carb limits, then fat. By doing this, I'm able to get in 46-56g of protein per day. I try to get in about 35-40g protein at dinner (from all sources). Hope that helps!

Thanks, girls! I do seem to be settling in a little better than at the beginning. The hunger was so bad at the beginning that I almost quit!
