How long for induction?

Should you stay on induction until you are close to your ideal weight? I am on about week 8, have lost 25 pounds, but still have a lot to loose. Is it safe to stay on induction for a long time?

I've been in induction since January 3.

Dr. Atkins said that if you have a lot to lose and are satisfied with the food, you can stay in induction for as long as you like.

I actually don't plan to move very far out of induction even when I get to goal; I'm going to stay in ketosis long-term, and only add a few more foods and increase my calories by eating more fat.

Same here - I stick to induction levels, and plan to simply stay this way until I reach my goal weight, then I might add a few more carbs to reach my CCL to maintain - but those carbs won't be "bad" - just maybe a few extra helpings of veggies and whatnot.

Me too. I've been on induction since February 22. I'm down 78 pounds and plan to continue to stay in induction indefinitely. The desire for carbs has pretty much left me and I'm so thankful for that!!
