Chicken noodle Broth -- carbs?

My mom made me chicken noodle soup. I didn't have the heart to tell her I'm not eating carbs. I slowly spooned the broth, and the bigger chunks of chicken. My question is how carny do you think the broth became through the cooking of the noodles. The noodles were quite soft do I suspect the water to have become starchy. Thoughts?? My only other carbs today wee from half and half in my coffee

I will eat the broth/veggies/meat portion of soups if I'm out to eat or at a friends. I'm sure there is some small amount of carbs in there, but it's not going to completely derail your weight loss. I think you did the right thing and still got to enjoy some delicious homemade soup.

Since its your mom though, you might want to break the news of no more noodles for you, or she is likely to repeat this. I would rave about the soup... And then mention that you love it so much you didn't want to break your diet so you ate around the noodles so you could still enjoy it.

I think you did fine too. That bit of starch probably didn't even kick you out of ketosis. I would also just ask her to make you a nice veggie, chicken soup without any noodles next time because you're trying to stay away from carbs. That way she can still feel like she's helping you and you get something that fits in your diet. You both win.

Other thoughts.. you probably don't use much half&half but my weight loss stalled down when I was using it instead of HWC.
