Is this a diabetic issue?

I don't think so, but since diabetics can have so many foot issues, I thought I might ask.... Oh, and a month ago, when I had my physical, my doctor did check my feet, and didn't say she saw any issues...

When I walk long distances, it feels like the bone under my 2nd toes wants to pop out of my skin.... Behind my toe, pretty much on the balls of my feet. They get painful while walking, and the pain goes away within a few hours of the walk's end.

I am leaning on it not being a diabetic issue, but more of a still being too heavy issue, or I need better walking shoe issue.

I have had this issue on and off for years. I walked about 4 miles today.

There are all sorts of foot issues. I've been seeing a podiatrist to work out mine. I'd recommend it earlier rather than later as some issues can heal with rest, rather than waiting till it's so late that surgery is needed.

Maybe not the same thing but...does the pain on the ball of your foot feel like you're walking on a marble? My mom had this (and now I have it) and it's a cyst that grows between two of the toe ligaments. Usually they'll shoot it full of cortisone and hope it goes down. My mom ended up having surgery because eventually it grows and causes the two toes to develop a gap. Again, maybe not the same thing.
