Paleo Wraps

I just saw these on Facebook and they looked good. The reviews are really good. They're available online but I'm not sure if you can get them at local stores. Just two ingredients, coconut meat and coconut water.

I was wondering if anyone has tried them? Here's the info on them.

They've been around a while.
I didn't like them at all.
They're very small, the texture is weird and they taste pretty icky (IMO).

That figures!! It always sounds so promising but ends up being too good to be true. I wouldn't think they would be that great but was hoping they were mild tasting so they would be a good vehicle for flavorful fillings.

I guess I'll stick with the homemade tried and true wraps, rolls and breads from here. I'm trying to stay away from wheat so I've been making Peggy's focaccia bread and Ouis's tortillas.

I tried them raw (recommended by the mfg) and found the coconut taste totally overwhelming and the texture was, hard to describe. Almost had a glucomannan, flattened out, and kind of slippery is the best way I can describe it.
So I decided to pop one in a skillet and just dry toast it- no. lol.
Well, it was toasted coconut taste, so I guess you could maybe add a sweet filling and do a dessert with them, but for savory applications, they were just too overpowered with coconut flavor.

I guess I kinda figured they would be too coconutty lol only two ingredients and they're both coconut.
The texture did look a little off putting as well but I thought maybe looks are deceiving, not a chance!!

Thanks for letting me know what you thought of them, I trust your judgement enough to not waste my money. There's so many better alternatives anyways!

Should have looked here for the description before buying these Found them in a local health food store. I agree with Dottie. Just kinda weird tasting. Very sticky (IMO) and "weird" is all I can come up with. Tried them with tunafish yesterday and the coconutty flavor was overwhelming the other flavors. I ate it plain too to see what they were like. They did have a more sweet taste, so maybe a bit of nutella on them and they would be OK? I will have to try that out.
