I had a nice salad for my lunch with lettuce, red peppers, onion, and a can of skinless/boneless sardines in olive oil. Then I added some vinegar, salt and pepper and it was quite delicious. I felt very virtuous for eating sardines.

Dinner was stirfried pork and green beans, and I had lowcarb cheesecake for dessert.

Breakfast was yogurt, blueberries, and sunflower seeds.

So really, I look at what I ate, and for me the breakfast was the splurge. This dieting thing is insane....honestly.

2 scrambled eggs in butter with sour cream on top
2 cups of coffee with cream


Lunch: 3 scrambled eggs cooked in butter with sour cream on top

Dinner: Chocolate whipped cream


Today is an egg day. I want to see a loss tomorrow and eggs are the way to do it for me. We went to a family reunion and I had some blueberries and sunflower seeds and too much protein. I am still working on losing the 2 pounds that I gained from those foods. One more day should do it.

Auntie Em, where do you get meats like veal brains? I never see that anywhere ...ever.

Dinner tonight is Salmon with mayo spread on top, salt and pepper, then cheddar cheese. Bake in oven.

The side is pureed kohlrabi. I'm cooking the kohlrabi. Sauteeing some onion, mushrooms, kale, garlic in olive oil. Then puree them all together with some cream.

Oh, my...can't wait to try it.

I'm on a 5 tiny meal kick rather than B,L,D so:
M1-
1 egg cooked in bacon grease, 0.2 oz provolone cheese, 1.5 tbs CO, about 0.25 oz cream cheese, and 2 cups of coffee with 1 tbs HWC each.

M2-
1 slc bacon, 0.25 serving of pepitas, 1 tbs CO(with about 0.5 tsp cocoa powder mixed in), and a little left over bacon grease.

M3-
0.25 oz cream cheese, 1 tbs CO(same way), 0.25 serving pepitas, 1 carb master yogurt.

M4-
1 egg, 0.25 oz cream cheese, 1.5 tbs CO, and 0.2 oz provolone.

M5-
1 egg, 1.5 tbs CO, 0.4 oz provolone.

I have found that just plain CO makes a great snack when you want something a little sweet. Because CO is a solid under 76 degrees if you pour some into a small container and pop it in the fridge for about ten minutes it comes out with about the same texture as a candy bar, and has a sort of subtly sweet taste. I've been adding 0.5 a tsp of cocoa powder to the CO to make my own "chocolate"

I have never seen it there. Certainly lots of 'mystery meats' that I didn't recognize though so I will have to look a little closer next time!!

Cathy, that egg foo yung sounds good! I get veal brains at a market that caters to folks from many foreign cultures. One counter has veal, goat and lamb parts of many kinds.

Today:

black tea with hwc and marrow broth, bite of unsw. baking choc.

veal brains, marrow broth and kale, pickled egg, plain yoghurt

tuna w/ marinated green beans and a bit of beetroot, avocado, olive oil and black pepper

tuna again, perhaps more yoghurt

It is very funny when we think of having a large salad as a splurge.

So true.

Today was a pleasant food day for me.
Breakfast - mushrooms in butter, omelet, coffee/cream
Lunch - salad with Kippers (herring)
Snacks - 1 oz macadamia, 18 g dark chocolate, 4 oz red wine
Dinner - 2 chicken leg/thighs....so yummy and fatty

Today was one of those days I just ate what sounded good and filled me up.

Veal brain soup, with braised green onions and nori
hwc yoghurt w/ a few drops of stevia

unsw. bkg choc and butter, melted, and mixed with vanilla, peppermint extract and a few drops of stevia extract, w/ unsw. shredded coconut

Geez, that was a few days ago. It would have been a normal salad, lettuce, red pepper, cucumber, maybe some scallion, the kippers and most the oil, and some red wine vinegar with salt and pepper on top.

Today so far I've had the following:

Breakfast - my flaxseed pancake
Snack - almonds
Lunch - 2 chicken leg/thighs baked from my local grocery store.

I might be missing dinner as I'm having dental work done this late afternoon.

I'm really enjoying the fatty chicken thigh/legs, already cooked up for me. At $0.75 each I can't even beat the price. I'm eating them a few times a week.

Lunch: Mini-cheesecake with 1/4 cup HWC, coffee
Dinner: Chicken, muenster cheese, peanut butter on garlic kavli

Having that 1/4 cup of HWC really satiated me...if I wasn't so low on protein at dinnertime I wouldn't have eaten for the rest of the day. I have to remember that!

my breakfast smoothie this morning is going to be:

2 cups water
2 TB cocoa powder
20g whey powder (sugar free)
1 TB chai seeds
1 TB flaxseed
3 TB CO
1 TB butter
a few berries
