Thanks Slow! Very sweet of you. That was on an UD Friday at a concert. Was having an absolute blast in the 110 degree heat.

Hi SlowSure!
LAS=Late Afternoon Snack And here's how I make the iced coffee. I'm sure someone else already "invented" it lol! 4oz (1/2c) SoDelicious Sugar Free Vanilla Coconut Milk (or lc almond milk/or other kind of milk about 35-45 cals worth) 8oz strong black coffee (I use water decaffeinated) sf sweetener to taste (I use either Vanilla Stevia Drops or EZ Sweetz with 1/4tsp Vanilla Extract) 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (or to taste) 1/4 - 1/2 tsp Glucomannan Powder (start with 1/4 and add to your desired texture. I like mine pretty thick) Crushed Ice Stir it all together, add ice and sip through a straw! Easy and fills me up for about 2-3 hours sometimes! We're having a late dinner tonite so I know I will want an afternoon snackie...I have this planned just in case--but I might not necessarily eat it or drink it!) Hope you like it! I also experimented with making my own Homemade Coffee Creamer...

No plan for my day yet, so I'm trolling the thread in hopes of inspiration. Eggs are sounding good, and iced coffee. I'm feeling very antsy right now, from money stress. A prime time to look for something to shove in my mouth, so maybe brewing up some coffee will keep me busy.

I found it here in the shops. It's from Hellmans, do you have that brand in the states? Probably.
Anyway, it's 10 cals per tbsp, which is great value!

Thanks hon! I will look for it. I'm eating Hellman's Light and Amazin' Mayo right now. 10 cals is a bargain!

UUAD last night! Oh No!
(Oh, and as usually happens when I have a late night carb fest, I woke up starving today) B: Peach and 2 oz turkey lunch meat - 70 L: Garden burger on low cal English muffin - 230 D: Big Salad w/grilled chicken & 40 cal dressing - approx 200 S: maybe a chocolate protein shake after a workout tonight - 110 Total- 610 Target- 514 I've been hitting closer to 600 all week on my DD's and I've actually started seeing the scale move a bit. It either is actually causing me to lose weight or just not hindering it. Either way, I'm losing and when I was shooting for LOW days in the 300's I wasn't. So, I'm trying not to worry or kill myself if I go over my 514 20% number. |

![]() ![]() ![]() This is SUCH a good post and so true! I was killing myself at times not to just stay at the 20% number, but for some reason I felt that I HAD to go below that number or try to totally fast. It's all in my lessons learned post, but basically, it led to some bad things. But I think I actually need a little more calories to lose weight better. I find that with slightly higher calories (and eating real meals on DD) I feel less likely to binge on UDs, I feel less deprived and more "full", and so far, the scale seems to be ok with it if not HAPPIER with the higher calories. Someone else too reminded me that WLM is a range of calories from 20% up to 35%. That gives me up to 900 calories, which I never use, but just remembering that it's there and I have that option also helps out on a bad day. |
