We have enough "youth".
How about a fountain of "smart"?

It seems like that even tho we age we sometimes don't get the smart that comes with that. WISDOM seems to be elusive.

NOt a good eating weekend, carb wise. Taste wise it was great. My DIL made lasagne, garlic toast. Also a soft pretzel at Sam's. Will get back on track today.

Not much to say about the trip through the canyon...no rain therefore no flooding. Really not much to say about the eye doc visit either...same-o, same-o, although he is changing one med so will have to go back next month, sigh!

Wisdom doesn't seem to come with age about many things, we have sure found that out recently, before and after this move. Thankful for our young son, daughter in law for all their help, keeping us out of mischief due to not knowing how "life" goes around here, different than in Calif.

Doris, so true about wisdom and age especially in this modern world...I don't think I could do the job I had for 15 years and left three years ago. Things have changed so much in technology in just that short time...thank goodness for the young'uns to keep us up to date. You have two sons, right? one in Stockton and the other where you are in Tejas?

Some baked bar that the real estate lady brought us, in a Welcome basket, today. She picked up her "sold sign" because she needed it, things are selling very well here.

I didn't think I was a "mood eater" but I guess after the day I had, I felt I needed some grease, so for the first time in over a year it was KFC fer me...and it was really good and I enjoyed it...oh well.

B. 1/2 grapefruit, bacon and eggs, crystal light for the pills and coffee/hood's

S. KFC chicken leg and two hot wings, double cole slaw, and a diet pepsi

Loretta, does the heat make you lose your appetite? I notice I'm thirstier than ever in my whole life, but don't have a "taste" for certain foods that I used to love, especially salmon, can't stand the thought of it right now.

I had yellow squash with eggs today, iced water, BUT, later on, had that piece of chocolate meringue pie we brought home from Babe's last night.

Lunch was half a ham sandwich on one slice sourdough bread. Iced coffee

Dinner will be whatever we feel up to eating after son's test is over with tonight. Not sure yet, but guarantee a tall, iced drink of some kind.

My DD turned into an MD, 'cause it was pick, pick, pick all day...oh well, there's always tomorrow.

from about 1500 to 2100...don't know if I can call it a meal

lo chicken thigh, some pistachios, mozz stick, peanut butter on lc pita, glass of 1% milk, a couple of gumdrops, half a grapefruit, a nectarine...hmmm! no veggies.

I wound up having Papa Murphy's Delite pizza, veggie with garlic sauce last night for dinner, 2 pieces, daughter in law joined me in the veggie one, dh and son had meaty stuff. Iced water with it, and that's that.

Saturday's fixin's

B: scrambled eggs, black forest ham. iced coffee

L: Sara Lee wheat bread, light laughing cow cheese and turkey sandwich. Black olives. iced coffee

Snack: grape tomatoes from Bakersfield, iced coffee or tea

D: leftover chicken or burger patties, depends on how much the kids want, I have turkey hotdogs, too, need to change my cooking methods to learn to feed more people now.

Evening snack: probably lots of iced tea

I ended up having 4 oz swordfish and 8 oz stringbeans & carrots cooked instead of chicken and vegetable.
