Caffeine and weight loss

Is it weird that every time I lower my caffeine intake the scale magically goes down without any effort???

I am a coffee addict and am having trouble losing any weight. I know caffeine messes with your insulin right???

Atkins said that, but the modern science seems to support a less bad role for caffeine. Apparently the metabolism increase you get from it more than offsets the insulin thing. but if this is an issue for you, decaf coffee is really not that bad!

For me, I think it is the artificial sweeteners and HWC I put in my coffee that impacts my weight loss instead of the caffeine. I limit myself to one cup a day (2 in an emergency).

Raven is right, decaf really isn't bad.

Once I got past the headaches, I could switch to decaf for weight loss. Not so much for any vague "health benefits" though.

What I have noticed in my case is that if I drink coffee in the morning and early afternoon it decreases my appetite or has no affect on my usual hunger levels, but if I have it after my dinner it seems to increase my appetite. I only use cream no sweetener.
