UD Tuesday: menu and plans

Another hot day with overcrowded delayed trains and a mix of happy/grumpy commuters (The trains are being cancelled because some of the railway tracks are expanding so much in the sunshines that trains can't run on them because their wheels are too narrow. If it's not leaves on the line, or the wrong sort of snow, or flooding/landslides, then it's too hot...)

B: Mocha (mix of cocoa and coffee) with MCT oil and lecithin to emulsify it: 230kcals

L: 2 hard-boiled eggs with aubergine/eggplant 'bacon', dried peppers and tomatoes: 225kcals

D: Salmon with roasted vegetables: 550kcals

Running total of 1005kcals which gives almost another 600kcals to use up. Much as I'd like an after-dinner cheeseboard, I probably need a minimum of another 400kcals for additional MCT and lecithin drinks and supplementing unmodified potato starch will gobble up the remainder.

Slow - so no trains at all? That would be horrible.

Dawn - how fun for Keira.

Me, it's Tuesday, step away from Monday and that is great. Horrible heat here too. 120* predicted with the heat index, well over 110-115*. YUCKFEST! First truly oppressively hot day of the summer!

B - 2 eggs, waffle 280c
S - strawberries/cottage cheese? 100c or granola bar 190c?
L - spinach/zucc lasagna 450c
D - guac and the fixings. We have friends in town staying with us!

1900c goal for today!

I thoroughly enjoyed karate as a child/teenager. I should never have stopped it. It's fabulous mental discipline and it confers a remarkable level of fitness.

In some parts, there's no train service. In others, there is the living death known as the 'replacement service' which usually means travelling circuitous routes rather than direct roads on rickety old buses with no air conditioning, dodgy brakes, and insufficient seats.

And for this commuter train service, DH pays the equivalent of $125 per week and I pay $90 per week. If they'd even attempt to give out some iced tea or even a banana pudding ice-cream , it would show that they were at least acknowledging the level of disruption this causes...

L: Turkey ham on a kaiser roll and half cup of pineapples.
D: I have no idea. Would love ideas actually. It's so hot and I'm not big on food when it's hot.
