What are you eatting today?
Curious what others are eatting. One issue I have with this "diet" is the tendnacy to fall into a food rut and start just eatting the same food till Im bored of the diet. Today I mixed it up a bit.
I had a tuna fish wrap, a can of tuna, 2 tbsp mayo, 1 tbsp relish (sugar-free), and wrapped the mixture in a large leaf of lettuce. Then I re-wrapped that in another leaf of lettuce. Ended up with a bit of a fish burrito. Very tasty. Made 2 for good measure. ;x

Yesterday I had coffee with HWC, 2 eggs scrambled with butter and 1/3 of an avocado for breakfast. Lunch was chicken breast mixed with mayo and celery sticks (this was the quickest thing I could throw together for my work lunch...normally would eat higher fat meat and skip the mayo!), dinner was 1/2 lb. burger patty with 1/2 slice colby jack eaten with shredded iceberg and some sauteed onions with bacon! Mmmm...bacon. I also had a Coke Zero as a treat.
Today...so far I haven't been hungry, too busy chasing the kids around while trying to telecommute for work (nanny took today off, unexpectedly!). I have had 2 cups of coffee with HWC and water. You know what's a fun LC food? MIM sliced and fried in butter with cheese....LC grilled cheese. You could even do a tuna melt if that's your thing! I had a MIM already this week and am limiting them to once week...next week I will make grilled cheese! |

For dinner, ita tritip on the grill with homemade chimichurri sauce. And some broiled broccoli seasoned with lemon juice, salt and pepper. When out of the oven, add some red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese. So so good!!!! And makes great left overs!

Oh I was so bad yesterday..
I have not only been stalled for months but yesterday was feeling bloated and weighing more than I did at Easter when I started my 30 day re-induction! So, I was depressed and then I ate the baby's almond butter. It was so good and he wasn't going to eat it anyway. I have given up nuts in the last month because I was certain it was the cause of my stall. *sigh* Then I ate an Active Dlites ice cream bar. "5 grams of net carbs" oh okay...but still full of fake sugars and junk. I never keep that kind of thing around but lately there has been cake and ice cream around every corner and these bars were on sale so I thought I'd keep them I.C.E. (in case of emergency!). Then I had 2 glasses of a nice red wine. So even though I had a cheat day yesterday I am still loving myself. I made egg salad last night and had it with lettuce cups. Skipping breakfast and lunch today (I know, I know...) because my stomach is bubbly and unhappy from yesterday's escapade. Grilled chicken thighs and salad for supper tonight. The kids will have quinoa with that. And NO wine, NO nuts, NO franken-treats! Not today, not on my watch ;o) |

Well....the franken-treat-on-a-stick won yesterday but that doesn't mean I've failed completely...
Yesterday I had: coffee with HWC, egg salad and iceberg, NO wine/NO nuts/NO SF gum/NO diet soda (win!), fried chicken thigh (not breaded) with iceberg and ranch, chipless nachos (baked cheese with ground beef and a smear of salsa) I made quinoa, homemade french fries and breaded fried chicken for kids/husband/brother in law. And didn't even have a taste! I've been cooking carbs without eating carbs for 6 years and it is much easier now than it was 6 years ago. We went on a walk and they all got gelato too (oh how I hope heaven is filled with carb-free gelato if/when I get there). That's where my Active D'Lite ice cream bar came into the picture. Its grocery day - I think I will get some cucumbers - thanks for the inspiration teeingoff17! |

I made a big bowl of sugar free coleslaw (truvia sweetened so eating it sparingly!) and a big bowl of tuna salad with celery and onions. Baked flax muffins last night too.
So for breakfast I had a flax muffin with butter and lots of coffee/hwc. Lunch was tuna salad on lettuce with coleslaw. I took my lunch outside today, out of respect for the others in the office! Tonight I'm going to make sausages on the grill and serve it with rice for the family and salad for all of us. |

Hi all.
Will jump in and add my 2 cents worth. Cup of black coffee when I got up. I had a 2 egg omelet with 1/2 oz pepperjack,1 oz sauteed ham,1 slice am. cheese, for brunch. Dinner will be nacho meatballs, shredded zucchini salad and sugar free jello with hwc for dessert. Water and ice tea in between. |
