First milestone met - 25 pounds lost!!!!

I never thought I'd see the day - after yo-yo'ing on and off LC for years, I'm down 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at the supermarket with the Hubster today and he had me pick up a 20 and a 5 pound sack of potatoes to really drill into my head how much weight I've lost - when you have over 100 to lose, 25 doesn't seem like much, but when I tried to hold those spuds, I realized what an achievement this is. I couldn't be happier. Thank you all and thank you LowCarbFriends for all the support I get here. I couldn't have done it without you.

There are no elevators to success - you have to take the stairs.

My realization came at 20 pounds when I picked up a frozen turkey of the same weight. No wonder walking was easier. KUTGW

I think of my dog Buddy, who weighs just under 20 lbs, and I recently passed the point where I've lost two Buddys. The thought of carrying a Buddy under each arm 24/7 is daunting!

I love your husband's idea of the potatoes too. Very smart.

Congratulations! I recently hit my first goal of 25 lbs too (since restarting) and it's such an awesome feeling. I have a WHOLE lot more to go but so proud of this moment.
