I just fell in love with my Margaritaville Machine

Hubby went to a tag sale this spring, and since he can't pass up a deal, he came home with a Margaritaville Machine, the pricey one that Williams Sonoma sells for $350. He paid $100 for it, the thing looks brand new, even has an extra bowl, and it's just been sitting on my kitchen counter.

We don't drink, I hadn't used it, but this afternoon I decided to give it a try, so I fired it up using a can of diet root beer and a few tablespoons of half and half.

Well, it whirred and churned, the ice shaved and dropped down into the blender with the root beer and half and half, then it turned itself on and blended all together and it was magic!

Holy Schmoly this is good stuff!!!!

I bet you can achieve close to the same results with a Bullet Blender. Mine shaves ice nicely, using the smaller cup.

Next I'll try low carb smoothies. Well, after I find a recipe for them I will. And then on to orange diet soda and cream for a Dreamsicle. Heart be still!!!!!!

Wow what a deal you got!!! That is a fantastic little gadget. So glad you found a "repurpose" for it. I don't drink either and would not have thought to make low carb goodies with it. Good for you!

Thanks for sharing! I'd love to hear more about what you do with your machine. My hubby uses ours as a blender to make his breakfast drink every morning, but other than that we don't really do a whole lot with it.
