Rita80 - I kept it simple and was around 10-12 carbs daily - still am. For breakfast I would have coffee w/ heavy cream & hardboiled egg, for snack I'd have Mac's salt & pepper pork rinds, for lunch 2 beef patties w/blue cheese dressing and a small salad (romaine lettuce, egg, shredded cheese, bacon, blue cheese dressing) & diet coke - dinner would be a steak with butter, (or baked chicken breast, or baked cod, or grilled pork chop) string beans and pork rinds for snack. I also made sugar-free Jell-O and homemade whipped cream for dessert. I rode my bicycle for exercise 13 miles a few of those days. There were many times that I just wasn't hungry and would eat a piece or two of Frigos string cheese. I did experience the "induction flu" but knew to expect it and just put up with it. It took me about five days to get in ketosis but when I did the strip showed deep purple. I use the ATKINS carb tracker app on my phone religiously to keep me in line. Hope this helps!

There is an App called ATKINS CARB TRACKER!!!! downloading now!!!

Very good. i wish I could say the same. I used to lose like that but I guess now that I'm older it's more difficult. i have been strict induction for 25 days, in ketosis since day 2, and have lost 4 pounds so far!!!

Thanks everyone! I know your struggle with pounds!

For homemade whipped cream I bought an iSi Whipper (just Google/Bing iSi Whipper - bought mine for under $50 and 10 co2 cartridges for $1 ea) You add your heavy whipping cream, best vanilla you can find, & sweetener of choice. Discharge the little co2 cartridge in the appropriate place on the whipper and you have the best whip cream! Sometimes instead of vanilla I'll use one of the DaVinci flavored sugarfree sweeteners instead of my liquid splenda. Blackberry flavored whipped cream is great - so is caramel, and coconut and so many other flavors. Of course you could always make your whipped cream in a bowl the old-fashioned way. Have fun!
