We have only a few skeeters, so far, but it's been too cold for them to be born, out in the water in the meadow..........our time will come!!

Did 2 hrs. 40 min. bike time, Jack LaLanne's chair stuff, and squats without weights, and that's it for today for sure.

No rain here in Ky. We could use some.

Walk and workout this am with a few counter push ups. Trying to sneak in the counter push ups when I have an extra min or two when I'm in the kitchen waiting for something to cook.

Yes, that is when I do mine, too, good old kitchen counter. Our friend in town, whom I showed that too, still has some back problem due to doing that, he pushed back too far. Now he is back to walking up and down town, at least.

Did 3 hrs. on the bike, and trying some dancing to early rock and roll, after dh goes for his nap, so I have privacy, lol.

We hardly have any deer anymore, the neighbors large, barking dog, keeps them away, but we do enjoy the other neighbor's new horse.

Did 2 hrs. 15 min. on the bike, and that is it for today, I'm running around here like a chicken with it's head cut off. Well, I guess that's exercise, too.

Going to try to do some walking today. Lower body has let me know that I can give it a try. Son and wife just stopped by. She just got off of an all-nighter at the hospital and needed to come in to a dentist appt. for their daughter. She was dragin and boy I could feel her pain.

Doris your new place in TX is just lovely. I'm so happy for you and Dh.

May 30th

Plan A: Zumba (55 mins) & Strength Training

Missed early morning Zumba class so on to...
Plan B: Life Fitness Treadmill (60 mins) & Strength Training. If weather permits this evening, then 2.4 mile park trail w/dog.

Welcome, SouthernBelle. Stationary bike, but I don't do the 3 hrs. all at once, and been doing it for so long, it isn't as exciting as it sounds, lol. 2 hrs. before breakfast, one reason is taking thyroid med and have to not eat for a long while anyway, may as well do the bike. The other hour is later, after lunch.

Hi Sharon, how did the walking go today? Are you guys getting warmer now, the heat wave is coming.

Howdy Loretta! See any deer again?

Waving at you, Linda, hope the appt. goes smoothly.

Me, Oh Lordy, managed to squeeze in 2 hrs. 13 min. on the bike, lol, but no more, too many phone calls, info needed, disbelief, just too much talking and not enough action!! Still waiting for the guy from the movers to set up the appt. Then another earthquake, woke dh up from his nap with a start. I plan on doing weights tonight, in here, hopefully in peace and quiet!!

Hi folks. Plan on joining you when your new week starts. Strangely, I was just thinking earlier when checking out the Exercise Thread how there needed to be a Thread where people could do their own thing. And here it is - plus for we older folks!

I do better when I belong to a Thread where I am accountable. It keeps me on track whether it's losing weight or exercising!

Hi Shars, that is exactly why some of us have been posting here for years, welcome to our group! There is a menu thread that works the same way, you can do any plan, not stuck on just one, no one cares. Just another way to remember what you ate or did not eat, etc.

I finally did the weights, boxing stuff with light weights, and a round of 8 lb. ones, done for today.

Hi Doris, and Sharss.

Today's the day for some walking. We're heading over our Cuesta Pass to get some free range eggs so will stop on the way back and walk down the Ole Stagecoach Road with the fur buddies. That road was the only road by stagcoach to Slo way back in the 1800's. I love to touch one of the big boulders where the stage was frequently robbed by the bad guys.

Sharon, I also like to "touch" old bldgs. and such, when it's really old, sort of "feel the old times" that way......... my dh think's I'm nuts!

Did 3 hrs. on the bike, and that's likely it, just too many questions being asked over the phone, looking up stuff, so time consuming, lol. The Title company gal called me just now from TX, she is sending a whole bunch of stuff to us here, since we won't be leaving right away, and wondered if Fed Ex delivered here or not. If "lip flapping" was a good exercise, I'd be burning calories like heck............

Thanks for the welcome Knees. No matter how you add it up, 3 hours is awesome on the bike.

Today:
2.4 mile park trail (done)
30 - 60 mins line dancing (to do)

When I fall back on line dancing, then that means I really don't want to leave the house lol. Hey but cardio is cardio.

LOL Doris, you like to touch old things then you would LOVE Devils Den at Gettysburg. Huge rocks where a fierce battle was fought.

Anyway, did two hours worth of laps at the nice, air conditioned Wal Mart. Too hot to do much else.

Yep, Linda, I sure would love to go see Gettysburg. When we were in Germany in 1977, walking on old cobblestone streets, there was a bakery there, opened in 1489, and you had to step way down stairs to get into it, because the street had been paved over so many times, but I felt the walls there, too, some people chuckled, mostly my dh and his uncle.

Managed to fire away 3 hrs. on the bike, good thing we get up early!! Drove into town to our friends fundraising bake sale and donated money, gave the cake to someone else who had kids, and they were delighted. We did manage to bring home some cookies.

See you guys tomorrow.
