UD Saturday: menu and plans

Well, the sun is warm, the trees are softly twitching in the breeze and it's Saturday, so I'm kayaking.

B: 1 slice black pudding (105 kcalories), 1 goat sausage (90kcalories), slice of egg bake (110kcalories), roasted tomatoes and grilled mushrooms (60kcalories). Total=365kcalories.

L: 50g tuna (100kcalories), low-fat hummus 50g (110kcalories) and HM dried tomatoes and peppers (60kcalories). total=270kcalories.

D: Making http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/re...zza-crust.html and Memorykeeper's flatbread pizza http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ju...od-porn-8.html so I'm budgeting about 650kcalories for this, along with some salad.

I have enough calories left over to have some strawberries or raspberries after dinner.

Nothing really planned...Had dreams of going to the first authentic Indian restaurant in town today. I have coveted the menu. Now, I don't really care....the caveat of UDs.

I've been so wiped out the last couple of days - don't know why. But stepped on the scale and am down 4.5 pounds for the last 10 days. WOOHOO!!!! That's a first for me!

B: Eggo waffles with butter and syrup (~350 cal)

L: green smoothie (kale, spinach, dehydrated wheat grass and spirulina, 1/2 banana, frozen mango and raspberries, hemp seeds, 1/2 tbsp CO) (~300 cal)

D: ??
Dilemma... I was supposed to meet up with a friend today but we rescheduled for tomorrow which of course is DD. this is a new "friend" that I don't know if it will become more... so I don't want to be counting calories for our get together. ARGH!! dilemma! I may make this one a mid-day so tomorrow can be an UD.
so MD would be another 400 cal. otherwise I will just do a UD and need to have another 1000 cal which I can easily reach with that bottle of wine that is sitting over there...
now off for a hike and/or kayaking!

LOL, I know right? Yesterday I was thinking "I am getting a caramel frapp at McDonalds tomorrow" (450 cal for a small)... today yeah, uh not so much.

My plan for today:
B: Coffee & scrambled eggs mixed with spinach, turkey sausage & mozzarella
L: Subway Sweet Onion Sub
D: Chicken breast & Italian veggies
S: After-workout protein drink
More coffee in there too, and LOTS of water
That comes to 1968 calories... Lower than my recommended (high) 2644 but I don't really want to oink out! Maybe I'll add a salad to dinner or some chocolate with my late night coffee... (yes, I drink coffee all day & all night - it doesn't make me hyper or keep me up)

We had both sunshine and hailstorms during our kayak outing I'm deleting salad from our pizza dinner and substituting something more like the zucchini oven fries from http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/me...ml#post7375246 but without the bran and using egg whites rather than whole egg.

Well, I have managed to eat a lot of calories, to say that I wasn't enthusiastic this morning. I had part of a regular orange Fanta (because there was nothing else in the fridge...not my fav), a coke at the Flea Market, and then a box of fried shrimp, chicken, french fries and hush puppies. My stomache hurts.

I have some vodka and lime juice for a (some) gimlet(s) later, so will have to make room.

B- Started the day with a few bites each of crumb cake and cannoli from a heavenly bakery. I successfully avoided tasting either yesterday on my MD. Yum!Then hollowed out a bagel, toasted with a bit of cream cheese and 2 oz lox. Can I just say I love UDs!!!!

L- Nada. Took a 2 hour walk instead. Savings calories for a gourmet dinner tonight with friends. Yes, there will be both wine and desert. And yes, there will be a big scale bounce tomorrow. Hopefully it will be temporary.

Sunshine and hail sounds fun ! hope the hail stones didn't last long.

I went for a 5 mile hike and now I am ravenous!! so UD it is (not MD).

D: some homemade chili that I will top with cheese and light sour cream and scoop up with some chips. Wash it all down with a beer. I do love an UD.

Here's something funny: I had a hungry DD yesterday but I resisted the urge to eat more and last night I dreamt that I had given in and gone to the store and bought a big piece of cake and ate every bit of it. when I woke up this morning I actually had to think... did I go get cake? ha ha ha!! Has anyone ever dreamed about food on a DD?

D: 4 oz lamb livers cooked with onions, ginger, garlic, spices in yogurt sauce, leftover mushroom and green beans. Salad (lettuce, cucumber, onion, 2 HB eggs, feta cheese, yogurt dressing)

I haven't, but I think it's common when you're trying to change a behavior. Be it cigarettes, alcohol etc. In the beginning, you frequently dream that you are still engaging in the behavior. I think it is therapeautic.

This is the UK, in between the beautiful bouts of sun, we had several 10-15m storms of hailstones that were large enough to make you grateful you were wearing a helmet and regretful you'd inexplicably left a face visor at home as 'not wanted on this voyage'. The younger members of the club were whimpering that they wanted to go back and drink hot chocolate and such stuff. I - youth of today.

The planned UD turned into an MD as I fell asleep and didn't have time to ramp the oven up to pizza temperatures. So we had cheese and hummus with a seed slice as a snack which brings me within the scope of an MD so Sunday is now the UD.

Oh yes, I have! Weird feeling and it made me feel guilty, like I had actually cheated.
