DD Friday: Menu and plans

End of the conventional working week and kayaking tomorrow

A migraine started yesterday and is continuing into today so my plans are a little fluid.

B: 90g tuna (100kcals), 25g low-fat hummus (55kcals), 50g prawns, (40kcals), with some HM dried tomatoes and peppers (40kcals). Total=235kcals

D: Shirataki noodles with stir-fried cabbage, tiny amount of fermented tofu, and anchovies. Total=60kcals

That isn't a large enough breakfast for the leptin reset programme but I'm lucky if I manage that with this headache. DH prefers me to eat something when he has dinner so I've decided that Shirataki noodles are a way of doing this without adding many kcals.

Hey Slowsure, do you have any magnesium citrate you can take? Sometimes migraines are triggered when these levels get wonky. Yuck on the headache, yeah for the kayaking!

DD: Coffee & FF creamer
L: Potatoes
D: More potatoes

Last DD went really well with just potatoes. I did wait 6-7 hours after the cofee to indulge, but it worked out good!

Nothing yet and not sure what I'll have but Shiritake is on the cards for me too.

Got to eat up some salad stuff prior to the trip.

Sometimes, when people have been following JUDDD for a while, they like to switch things around to keep their metabolism guessing.

One of the short-term hacks is the potato hack and there are several threads on this: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ju...t-whos-me.html

Some of the maintainers are managing to keep their DD calories up by eating potato. Adi is a fine example of this (amongst others) and describes it in a useful thread: http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/ju...xperiment.html

The migraines are related to my last concussion: best thing about them is that they're far less frequent than they used to be.

You have reminded me tho' that I've been meaning to look at magnesium for a while - thank you.

I adore kayaking and have been known to do it even if I have to crawl on my hands and knees to get up and down the ramp to the quay (combination of migraine and back issues relating to accident responsible for that concussion).

Going to just drink water until dinner, then probably eat a grilled chicken salad.

UGH migraines!! they are crippling. sorry about that!! I hope it goes away so you can go kayaking! I am hoping to get out myself this weekend so I'm wishing for you.

Today is a little experiment...
B: coffee with hydrolyzed collagen added - maybe 25 cal? but all protein I think.

I'm also taking the glucomannan capsules and am currently sipping on a cup of powdered wheat grass in water. Yes it does taste like grass but I swear it gives me an amazing energy boost and I need it today!

Am going to try to do just that all day but also brought some potatoes with me for lunch if needed. And I'll have those for dinner too. My first attempt at a potato day.

Happy DD Friday everyone!!

I am doing a Potato DD here as well. I am having black coffee with SF syrup for breakfast and will start eating potatoes as an early lunch, late snack and dinner. I'll peel, put them through the fry maker and bake them with a tiny amount of cooking spray. Bake till brown, salt and pepper, ketchup as a condiment. I will for sure be over 500 calories but I find that it is beneficial for me to do so when doing the PH anyway. I like to do this once or twice a month.

I am getting so confused with the same Avatars ladies. Help an old lady out someone?

Some great plans I see. I stuck with the one coffee and a cup of tea just now. Oh and 2 psyllium capsules.

So, I will use up the salad things with some ginger and chilli and add it to my Shiritake. Should be under 100 for the day.

Today is a DD for me, supposed to be yesterday but things got messed up.

I am also fighting a migraine this morning, took a Maxalt. And so far just having coffee (and psyllium). Magnesium is great for migraines, I take it daily, although I don't know that it would help a concussion related migraine.

Going to try a potato DD for the rest of the day, will see.

lc-chica,

I hope you are alright and sought treatment for your concussion. Those can be quite serious sometimes. Better to err on the safe side.

Feel better soon!
