WOE: JUDDD - started 6/25/12
Start Date: 3/27/12
Hi All - I'm Still JUDDING it

Haven't been around the forum much in the last few months, but I'm still trudging along.

Back in October, Pat suggested that I drop my UD calories from 2300, which was what the calculator gave me, to 1800...to see if I could break the stall and start my weight loss again. Since October, I've gone on to lose 32 pounds. That puts me at 61 pounds lost on JUDDD since I started on 6/25/12. I had previously lost 20 pounds on low carb. So that puts me at a total weight loss of 81 pounds in 13 months.

My calories according to the calculator are 457/2286. I'm back once again to bouncing and stalling at 269/270.

Asking for advice again on adjusting my calories. I'm seriously considering eating to my UD calories (2286) for a few weeks and see what happens. I usually do eat all of my DD calories...haven't tried lowering those yet. As it is, I'm usually starving on DD's.

Any and all advice is much appreciated.

(Technically, I started at 415 lbs, so I've actually lost 146 lbs. all told. I'm just only counting the weight since I started last June).

Karen! Saw your handle and was so glad to hear from you! AWESOME results.

If you have genuine hunger on your DDs, then yes, I would still turn attention to the UDs. Sounds like Pat's advice was right on the money for a long, successful while, and now you can shake things up with a surprise to your body for a couple weeks.

wow! I'm pretty new to JUDDD, and I'm sure you've been dieting as long as I have, so you've heard anything I'd come up with...wish I could be more help!

But 146 lbs is amazing! You go girl!

In my measly 2 weeks on JUDDD, I have been surprised that i more often show/feel a loss on the morning after an up day. Weird...it couldn't hurt to bump your calories up for a week and see what happens?

Karen, your losses are truly inspiring! I am in awe of your persistence and I'm so glad you've been hanging in there with JUDDD and that it's been working. I always think shaking it up a bit is a good thing. It seems like our bodies get used to whatever it is we're doing and settle in.

Just so glad to see you posting again! I hope you can find a tweak that gets those losses going again.

Whitlin', she's still my baby...lol.

I started fostering for a local animal rescue organization and I also volunteer with them every Saturday. That's part of the reason I haven't been around. I work 40 hours a week, plus volunteer all day Saturday, so that leaves on Sunday to do the MILLION things that must be done around my house. Plus take care of my two dogs and however many foster dogs I have at the moment. But I love it....

Karen, great job!

I'm relatively new to JUDDDing but I've found that I feel lighter the day after a UD and I notice a whoosh after a UD. Eating up to your UD calories might be the jump start that your body needs. Throw it a little curveball.

Hey Karen! Great to see you!

I agree. Up your UD calories for a week or two and see what happens. You can always drop them back down if needed, but it just might be the shake up you are looking for now.

So lovely to see you dropping by Karen, and well done on continuing to lose.

I agree, try upping the UD cals and see how your body responds. As Dawn says, you can always drop back down again.

I agree- try your calculator numbers for a week or 10 days and see. You may need the bigger spread between the 2 days.

Great losses so far!!! KUTGW!

Thank you all so much. I've been reading off and on over the last few months, just not posting. So glad I did. It is so wonderful to feel all the encouragement you receive here. It can be just the boost you need to keep going and never, ever give up. So thanks for just the boost I needed today.

Hi Karen! So great to hear from you! I agree, shake up the calories. I'm trying to do it too. Sometimes, especially when you've been at it for many months, I think the body just has a period of resistance (I think I'm in it too) that we might have to just wait out, but shaking it up is worth a try! How long have you been stalled?

p.s. congratulations on your total loss! phenomenal!

Thanks all.

I didn't plan very well yesterday for the increase in my calories, so I only ended up at 1870 for the day instead of the 2200 I was aiming for. I will plan better tomorrow. Also trying to drink more water.

Planned out my food better for today to get above the 1800 previously set as my UD calories. Seems strange to be able to eat so much more.

Karen, just wanted to pop in and congratulate you on your amazing 146lb loss!! Wow!
I've been JUDDDing for 2 months now and don't have anything new to add other than to reiterate what others have advised about shaking things up by increasing the spread in your UD - DD cals!
Wishing you the best of luck and let us know how you're doing!
