Oatmeal or grits as it is a cold morning. Thunder woke me once with added lots of rain- empty bird baths are almost full.
Need coffee and food but first my first round of pills, bbl

This afternoon I go to a wedding in Atlanta. It is going to be beautiful. Hope I get to leave to get home before dark. I don't love driving in the dark these days.
Have a great weekend everyone... Anne |

Good morning all...nuttin' much going on here as it's the weekend and I tend to stay home...too many people out and about. I'm cleaning out the kitchen and under the sink preparing for the electrician to come find out what's wrong. He says I should have those little GFI doohickeys in the bathrooms, kitchen and garage but I've only got them in the bathrooms, unless it's on the plug for the garbage disposal. I'll check that out when I take everything from under the sink. Does everyone else have such a clutter there?
Anne, I hope you get home before dark...I, too, try not to drive at night...it's hard enough during the day. Such a shame as I've always loved to drive. Hope you all have a great day and find something interesting to do....

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for the start up Doris and love that car. Come by and pick me up. After the extra exercise yesterday I needed to stay off my foot so decided to watch a little netflex. The first one was Gosford Park and the other one was World Without End. That kept me busy until bedtime. They were both good. The first one was similar to Downton Abby and the second one was from a Ken Hallock book series. Has anyone read Pillars of the Earth and World Without End? Very good series. Dh just came from the garden with a handful of radishes. Looks like that will be a great addition to my salad at lunch. That remind me I'll need to make another batch on 1000 Island. Not sure what will be on the agenda for today. Farmer's Mkt. for some vegetables from our farmers may be a good idea. Have a pleasant day.

Good morning. Looks like I won't be able to follow my own advice to a new
![]() One of our friends, a CPA, is having her annual after tax party tonight, and she and her husband are gourmet cooks. She makes the very best chocolate desserts I have ever eaten. So DH and I decided that tonight we will "cheat" and then go back on Atkins induction for another week starting tomorrow. Meanwhile, at another friend's suggested, we bought a laser pointer at the Pet Store yesterday and were successful at wearing out the kitties. They were so tired, they didn't even sleep in our bed last night ![]() ![]()

Good evening. Was up very early today which is very unusual for me... 7am to be precise.. and not too many aches and pains..Glory be!
![]() Have been very busy too just doing all those odds and ends that I keep meaning to do such as measuring up for some new bedroom curtains and bedspread to match which I am going to have made, plus picture in hallway that I want to have framed properly...and lots of other bits and pieces. Now going to settle down in front of the TV for the evening and try to get my knitting done at the same time... Hope you all have a very good night.. ![]() |

Begete, that isn't a "cheat", a 1950's expression, it's a "pleasant diversion for your mental health", enjoy yourselves, for heaven's sakes!!! How is your son doing, by the way? I have been wondering about him.
Waving at everyone else, I'm fluttering around the house, tossing and throwing things away, and then, pondering.....................lol. Don't know if I want to keep the china closet or not is on my mind right now. Take care of yourselves, friends. ![]()

Julie, we have Everything in that the loan gal needed, only the VA hasn't gotten the appraisal report in yet, they are the only hold up now, we are "supposed" to close on the 30th. So we just wait, the VA guy says there are a ton of houses that have sold, and he is swamped with not enough hired help, too many people are suddenly buying houses again..........
So it's damp and cool in Florida, I have friends in PA and Indiana who have been getting snow, and sleet and temps in the 30's. We, have a warmish day today, it has hit the low 70's for awhile, and the wasps are out. Take care!!

Thanx for asking, Doris. I am extremely worried about him. He is so very depressed. He is seeing a grief counselor, but always seems more depressed after her sees her.
He is talking about moving someplace tropical away from people and the rest of the world. I am quite frantic, but do not know what to do.

Afternoon/evening all...just checking in and, Doris, I love the "pleasant diversion for your mental health" and so it is. I had such a diversion today...a half cup of light ice cream....I love the Dreyer's slow churned stuff. It tastes almost as good as B&J's at less than half the calories.
Finally heard from the electrician and he'll be out on Monday, so cleared the decks and moved the microwave in case I want to use it. Had N over to clean and do some more sorting. Took advantage of having every thing out from under the sink and the cleaner garage...sorted all the gardening, cleaning, paper and bug stuff and have it all arranged now so I can find what I need...my goodness, it's amazing what you can do with open shelves. As for me, it's into the hot tub with a glass of merlot to follow. Hope the 94 degree temperature water (expecting that tech out next week to check on the heater) is okay after an ambient temp of almost 90 today. We're cooling back down tonight but it's been nice having a nice warm day in which to do stuff...hope you had a good day, too.
