I'm another one who is back

I'm back yet again. Originally, I had lost 60 pounds, well now I've gained around 40 back

I have metabolic syndrome (PCOS & HYPOTHYROIDISM) I just keep thinking that I can eat like most people and be fine. I think that I'm FINALLY realizing that I can't. I think the reason I kind of let things slide with lc is because I hit a plateau and couldn't get past it. Then when I went back to lc, I couldn't lose ANYTHING, it was really frustrating.

So now I'm here again and I plan to be more active on the boards. I feel like it keeps me accountable and this has always been a great place for support

I'm not really doing induction this time, it's too hard with the way I eat. Pescetarian trying to avoid dairy and eggs. I was vegan so my mind set makes eating those things difficult. I'm finding that I may have to add eggs back though. I like breakfast type foods early in the morning and my tofu scramble isn't doing it. Blech! I just found locally raised eggs at the Whole Foods, they're a little costly, but my conscience will be cleaner.

So I'm just trying to stay under 60 carbs per day, and so far this seems to be working.

Welcome back! It's great to have you

I have PCOS and hypo too, so believe me... I feel your pain! It definitely IS a tougher battle for those with metabolic syndrome, but not impossible

Hang in there, and keep us updated! I agree, the support here is fantastic and has saved me more than a few times myself

Thanks! It is harder for us, but you're both right, it's not impossible and it is for life. Wish I would have thought that before.
